1CLIMATE CHANGE AUSTRALIAAustralia’s non-governmental organization The Climate Institute had an influentialrole to play in maintaining the ecological balance and managing policies on climate changerisk management. However, with the recent shutdown of The Climate Institute, climatepattern and its consequences have aggravated. In Australia climate change has paved the wayfor rising temperature, severity of heatwaves, disruption in rainfall pattern which in turn isaffecting the growth and distribution pattern of animals, birds and plants (Banwell et al.2015). Some of the prominent damages has been caused in the sector of marine life andorganisms which has been gauged as a negative impact of tourism in Australia. In order toanswer the question regarding the factors responsible for global warming in Australia, alarger context has to be taken under consideration for instance the increasing amount ofdeforestation due to migration and accommodation of immigrants in the continent. Thefalling of trees and reduction in greenery has enhanced the accommodation of greenhousegases in the atmosphere leading to global warming (Xia et al. 2015). The long-term impact ofdestruction of forests and plants has resulting in shorter rainfall and acute scarcity in freshwater. In Australia, what is further aggravating the scenario is the production, distribution andconsumption pattern of the individuals which have exploited the fossils and increasing therate of damage which is caused by carbon pollution. In Australia, according to governmentdata carbon pollution has soared by 1.6% in the last month mainly due to automobile andindustry emissions, stationary energy sector, agriculture amidst which the present generationis breathing (Banwell et al. 2015). Presence of high carbon dioxide in air gets contaminatedwith rain thereby resulting in acid rain damaging crops and aquatic life. In urban areas ofAustralia it has impaired breathing pattern of children and adults alike, increasing problemslike asthma, cardiovascular diseases, developmental problems and stroke. Lack of people’sinitiative to bring about a shift in the processes that are expanded the damages is alsoalarming (Xia et al. 2015).
