Brief of Wine Marlborough
During my class discussion, I have learned about the Wine Marlborough Company that it is
a winemaking company from New Zealand. The Marlborough Winegrowers Association
owned wine Marlborough. This company established in 1992; Wine Marlborough is owned by
the industry and is engaged in marketing and guarding Marlborough’s goodwill as a premium
wine region both domestically and internationally (Gabzdylova, 2017).
Key stakeholders (Internal)
Employees and manager: At present, 20,000 employees worked at Wine Marlborough.
The company provides sustainability to employees by giving them the opportunity to file a
grievance and their views in decision making. The following is the identification of Wine
Marlborough Company:
Owners: Wine Marlborough announced a new partnership with the Marlborough Wine
show which was originated by Belinda Jackson and Margaret Cress-well. A major part of Wine
Marlborough is owned by the Marlborough Winegrowers association.
Creditors: In September, the total owing creditors found was $11.2 including
government. In 2012, the percentage of harvest is down by 19 percent. Currently, the company
is struggling with weak supply and demand.

Suppliers: The major suppliers of Wine Marlboro ough Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
and Carrick Bannockburn Central Otago Pinot Gris. Wine supply in the global world is
slowing which refers to softening in the prices of wine.
Government: The New Zealand Wine Marlborough invest solid revenue in research and
innovation. In October, the government invested $12.5 over four years in New Zealand Wine
Marlborough and Winegrowers.
Compliances analysis of sustainability
Compliance: I have learned that the Company should maintain sustainable requirements to
protect natural resources. The company must plan and must comply with air quality and
vineyard heaters. The company should fulfill waste disposal requirements and take corrective
action if required. Ensure that contractors who provide services, the company must fulfill
regional and district plans ( Mariani, 2015).
Ecology: I was listening to one of my classmates that in the ecology factor, the company
should focus on air quality, human resource management, energy use, carbon accounting, and
fossil fuels. Regulations of disposing of waste material during the operation. The company
should preserve the productivity of the soil and ecosystem for the long term. The company
should produce wine in a healthy manner, which does not harm public health. During the
production process of wineries, a lot of wastewater is produced. The company should find
ways for the irrigation of water.
Social: From my point of view, companies should give more importance to the social factor.
Wine Marlborough must follow ethical practices in the production of grape and wine and in the
distribution methods. For the more efficient production methods, regular planning and
improvements are very important (Baumol, 2015) Winemaking companies should not use
synthetic pesticides to control pests and fungi. For the less use of energy and keeping the
winery, cool heat insulation is an efficient technique. The company must focus on the
reduction of the generation of waste. There should be a proper disposal method drafted by the
company and waste should not be disposed of in the rivers. Recently, the Wine Marlborough
recycles 25%-packaged material ( Mariani, 2015).
