Public health nursing and communities play an active role in identifying the problems that special group of people are facing today. They both work in collaboration to determine needs of a group or a community requires, to spend a healthy life. In present case, conducting a survey on a military family having four family members, including three males as AT of age 36, ATJ of age 12, DT of age 9 and one female MVT of age 35. It has been identified that through participating of these family members excluding MVT as she was deployed when survey has conducted, that family belongs to military care get effective care, due to easy accessibility of everything,likeschools, colleges,hospitals,transportation,communitycentresandmore. Availability at walking distance of these resources, reduce feeling of homelessness for military families. But still there are number of reasons present that depicts the drawbacks to live in military area. It includes limited range of availability of grocery products and on higher price due to shipping cost. Similarly, military housing is over-crowded due to small area, where streets almost busy with PTs of students before and after school, as well as with practices of soldiers. Along with this, library and fitness centre are on different base, where families who haven’t car have to rely on public transportation which consumes much time. But apartment from these drawbacks, main problem that faced by military families is getting health facilities on time, because one clinic is present within military area, where it creates difficulties to get appointment of clinician on time. Taking present case study, the only female member MVT has been deployed, therefore, entire responsibility to take care of child is handled by AT. However, he has no medical history but from last few months he suffers from back pain which is caused by scoliosis, which doen’t require treatment but sometime it become necessary to take a brace of surgery. AT works for till 1700 so, in such case of severe high pain, he immediately requires a clinician. But as only one clinic is there in area, it arises issues to get treatment on time. He can’t go on outside clinics or German hospitals as well because it takes more than one hour. Along with this, coping up from deployment is also major concerning issue for military families, where Child Development Care help them to overcome from the same. For this purpose, many programs are organised for such children to deal with deployment stress. Furthermore, in US, a community of contractors is also established that helps to meet clinical needs of military families, who do not have access for the same. In addition to this, TRICARE is one the health care program that serve instant health services to military people and their families, where insurance coverage give quick information to nursing organisations that patient is belong from 1
deployed family, so that prior attention will be given to them. In this regard, community of contractors identify needs of military families and provide instant information to nursing organisations, to meet their needs instantly. 2
