2CLOUD COMPUTING
Introduction
DTGOV plans to improve its business model and working. The chief motive of
DTGOV is to achieve operational optimization and cost effectiveness. The plan by the Board
of DTGOV includes retaining a single data centre out of the three they have. This will allow
them to move the services to cloud. Migration of Web Services to the cloud is proposed by
the Board to increase flexibility and HA (High Availability). The LoB or the Line of Business
application will be shifted to the public cloud.
Response to question 1.
The board plans to move the services to the hybrid cloud. The migration of the
services comes with advantages and necessary issues of application resilience with the need
of disaster and backup recovery in the Hybrid cloud environment. There are several risks in
implementing hybrid cloud services (Rittinghouse & Ransome, 2016). The company can
implement the AWS (Amazon Web Service) model in their business framework. There are
threats to this model mainly security issues and these are of growing concern for any
organization. The board is recommended to implement security measures for the security of
data. The security policies should prevent unauthorized access of data inside the cloud. The
policies should involve provision of unique employee credentials for accessing the cloud
(Rajesh & Kishan, 2017). Firewalls must be introduced to prevent unauthorized breaches of
cloud resources.
Application resilience
Inclusion of the recommendation is important for the smooth functioning of the
resources. Implementation of hybrid cloud is essential as it achieves the aims set by
