Type 2 is the first virtualization techniques that has developed. It is designed to run on existing
OS. The advantage of type 2 is it not require any special hardware to run.
The Type 1 virtualization, the operating system and any virtual machines run through the same
hypervisor. This makes it faster than type 2
Q. What is another name given to Type 1 virtualization systems?
The another name of Type 1 vitualization is the Hypervisor.

 Base station : A base station is a fixed point of communication for
customer cellular phones on a carrier network
 Mobile switching centre: Associated with the switching function like the setup of call,
release and routing.
Q. Describe the roles of the Base station and the Mobile switching centre as a mobile phone
moves from one cell to another.
The role of the based station is to fix a commiuni cation for the customers mobile phones on
any network.
When move to another cell the mobile switching centre switch the network the cell establishes
the call and do some routing on the network.
Q. Three common multiplexing techniques used for communication between mobile devices and
Base stations are:
 TDMA : TDMA stands for time division multiple access that is a technology which is used in
the digital cellular mobile communication that divides the each of the cellular channels into
the three time slots to increase the amount of the data that will be carried.
 FDMA : FDMA stands for the frequency division multiple access which is the division of the
frequency band that is allocated for the wireless cellular mobile communication into the 30
channels, each of the channels, which can carry the voice conversation or, with the digital
service, digital data. The FDMA is also used for Total Access Communication System (TACS).
 CDMA : Code Division Multiple Access or the CDMA is a type of multiplexing whichfacilitates
different signals to occupy a transmission channel that is single. It optimizes the use of
bandwidth that is available. The technology is mainly used in the ultra-high-frequency (UHF)
cellular mobile systems, bands are ranged between the 800-MHz and 1.9-GHz.
