Introduction
Facial recognition is kind of biometric authentication technology
which is mainly used for protecting the sensitive data from the hackers.
Such kind of technology has the potential to reduce unauthentic access and
provide a way where companies can enhance the security of their systems.
The state government can design and implement the automated facial
recognition authentication system in order to increase consumer
authentication but there are several risk factors linked with AFRA which
will be discussed in this paper (Amos, Ludwiczuk, & Satyanarayanan, 2016).
The goal of this paper is to evaluate the significance of AFRA system and
identify their impacts on the individual’s privacy. There are several sections
will be included in this paper, for example, benefits and problems of AFRA
system, the implication for the user’s privacy, ethical and privacy impact,
and role of AFRA in the security enhancement.
Benefits and problems of AFRA system
The term AFRA is defined as automated facial recognition system
which maps the facial expression of an individual mathematically and
records the data as a faceprint in the database. It is a common technology
which is now used in the many companies and government communities
because of their ability to provide reliable authentic service and manage the
security of data (Government Europa, 2018). In this generation, the use of
IT-based systems are growing rapidly which also increase the rate of a data
breach due to which government communities require a system that
manages such kinds of issues and provides authentication access to the
users. This problem can be solved by developing and implementing facial
recognition system that has the capability to manage the privacy of the
user’s data and identify the authenticity of victims. As stated by Gui, Sun,
Jia, Hu, Lei, & Ji, (2012) AFRA based system works by capturing information

of the users with the help of authentication based system and comparing
the collected data with the stored information. Today, more than 60% of
business companies are using the concept of facial recognition
authentication for maintaining the issue of authorization in the workplace.
There are numbers of advantages of this technology which are described
below:
The improvement of privacy level
It is one of the major advantages of the facial recognition system that
provide a way where companies can enhance the level of security in the
workplace. It is a part of a biometric system where the users provide their
facial features for accessing their data or information which effectively
improve the security level due to which it can be implemented in the state
government systems (Horikawa, 2019). Moreover, it is observed that it
require authentication to access and also compare the received data of
consumers with the stored data that can identify the unauthorized signals
occurred in the system.
The simple and easy integration process
It is identified that the integration process of the facial recognition
system (AFRA) is very simple due to which it can be easily designed and
implemented in the companies. IFSEC GLOBAL (2018) argued that in the
organizational security AFRA system work more effectively and developers
can easily design the face recognition system in the workplace. Moreover,
the programming features of the AFRA system are very easy which can be
programmed with the IT systems used by the government communities.
Large accuracy rates
The major benefit of the AFRA system is high accuracy which means
the recognition speed of the proposed system is very high by which uses can
easily identify the unauthentic signals from the system. In terms of
reliability, the automated facial recognition system is more effective that
