Introduction
Learning and development is a process of improving personality by evaluating
strengths and weaknesses by an individual by undertaking self-assessment.
Coaching is considered as a form of development under which an experienced
individual called as coach supports a learner in accomplishing their specific goals
by providing them guidance and training.
The following report explains the meaning of coaching along with critical
evaluation of coaching models. This report also covers coaching self-assessment
tools and determination of two development areas. Lastly, a personal development
plan of an individual is being mentioned in the report.

Definition of coaching
Coaching is described as a procedure that aims to improve performance and
pay attention on present development rather than on distant or future
learning. It could be defined as the process of maximizing potential of an
individual by helping them to learn rather than teaching them.
In a business environment coaching is referred as training method under
which a talented or skillful individual provide their employees with right
advice and guidance intended to assist the skills, performance and career of
a person. This procedure is highly individualized as it depends on both
nature of the person and capabilities, knowledge as well as skills of a coach.
