As per the Code of Conduct Policy , certain legislation is made to secure the rights and interest
of the child and the young people. It includes :
 All children and young people have equal rights to protection from abuse, exploitation
irrespective of their gender, caste, sex, social or cultural background etc.
 Right to live in safe and healthy environment for nurturing their growth.
 Monitoring the well-being of children and young people generally in the society.
 Right of children to express their views freely.
 Right to live with personal liberty including adequate standards of living.

Volunteers and General staff contributes in the effective running of a organisation. They are the
experienced professionals who possess various skills, knowledge and ability to work in any kind

There are numerous benefits of using volunteers includes:
 They are responsible for performing different job role according to their skills and ability
and serves to the society and needs of the community.

Volunteers and general staff possess certain specific quality to help the community. It brings
transparency and enhance efficiency in working system. It creates positive environment and

establish harmony and peace among the members(Kilkelly, 2019) . Volunteering prevents
conflicts of interest and dispute among the members and maintains confidentiality of vital
information of others.
Carry out their work duties in accordance with centre policies and procedures.
The National Standards has been made which laid down the aims and principles of volunteering

There are range of responsibilities which are associated with the children and requires consistent
efforts to identify and respond the child well-being and their safety. Many reporting legislation
has been made to analyse the cases of suspected child abuse and neglect. The reporting laws are
required to ensure the safety and security of the child. In Australia, child protection services has
been introduced to intervene for the protection of child.

The grievance procedure has bee made to create a child right focused complaint culture where
any suspect of child abuse and neglect is to be protected with the helps of application of right of
the child. The child right approach secures , recognise, respect and protect the human right of the
children.

Australia is the signatory authority of the International Convention on human rights. The right to
equality is the fundamental right of very individual and they must be treat equally irrespective of

teacher is teaching to them. For the security purpose or for focusing on the studies it is important
to keep personal belongings away from the class(Payne, 2019) . It is also consider as the basic
manners which improves people's understanding.

The four rights that a child have under the child code of conduct are discussed below:
 Right to survival- This right includes four more rights in it related to survival of the
child that are right to be born, having basic right to get food, shelter and clothing, leading
a live with the dignity and having right to health care.
 Right to protection- This right comprises the protection from all sort of the violence,
protection from sexual and physical abuse and get protection from the dangerous drugs
that harm the health.
 Right to participation- This the right which give freedom of opinion to a child as
expressing themselves freely and having right to be informed in respect to make or
participate important decision which involves child directly or indirectly.
 Right to development- This right basically related with the growth of the child as having
right to get education, right to learn and right to get all forms of development that
comprises emotional, mental and physical.
5. Reflecting on the code of conduct policy, what does professionalism look like to you?
As per my evaluation professionalism is the way of completing the job with great ability and
experience. Having a code of conduct at the professional workplace clarifies what are the

mission, values and principles which links employees with the standards of the professional
conduct(Zarei and Rasti-Barzoki, 2022). These code of conduct includes the rights of the
employees and the rules of the workplace. Workers are expected to behave in a certain manner
which is socially acceptable and being respectful in another way.

7. What is the purpose of having the parent code of conduct?
The main aim of having the parent code of conduct is to build the mutual understanding to all
the guardians and the visitors visit any institutions , in respect to behave in the certain ways
and through regulations which is applicable in the school. It is the provision which is build by the
institutions and all the parents are expected to behave in the according to that(Ernst, 2019) .
Both the learners and their parents are expected to acquaint themselves with the code of
conduct.
