Member C: Stephen’s friend, name John
Scene 1: Conversation between counsellor and Biyu
Biyu scheduled her appointment with counsellor and she reached on time. She comes in the
office and counsellor requested her to take a seat:
Stephen (S): Hello Biyu.
Biyu (B): Hello Stephen,
S: How are your Biyu?
B: I am fine. How are you Stephen?
S: I am also absolutely fine. Tell me your brief introduction Biyu?
B: I am 32 years old and I work as a shop assistant as a part timer employee. In the meantime,
I am preparing for my higher studies. My daily schedule is extremely hectic because I have to
give time to my job and to my studies. Currently, I am suffering from the high blood pressure
problem and from other mental health issues. For high blood pressure problem my doctor has
already suggested me 2 medications and I am taking that on regular basis. I am here because I
want to seek your help in dealing with my mental health issues.
S: It is good to know that you are working and also pursuing your studies. I always appreciate
those students who works and pursue their studies. Biyu, I will surely help you in

outperforming your mental health issues but before proceeding further I want to know more
about you. Please tell more about you.
B: Apart from the work, I often check on the welfare of my parents. Our family struggled a
lot and my parents faced many difficulties in raising us. I love to spend time with my family
but due to my mental illness, sometime I even starting shouting on my parents for no specific
reason.
S: Biyu! You need to pay attention here because getting angry for no specific reason it is
dangerous sign.
B: I know (crying slowly). I often encounter with mood swings. You know Stephen, I do not
want to think negative nor I want to getting angry on small issues, I tried to control myself for
many times but I always fail.
S: Do not worry my child we will figure out effective way for this problem. Before
proceeding further, as I can see these are the symptoms of the anxiety disorders, depression,
insomnia, paranoia and bipolar affective disorders.
B: I know, I searched on the internet for the same (crying slowly).
S: Biyu, do not cry my child, I am here for you. We will definitely figure out effective way.
S: Please tell me that what kind of thoughts you encounter usually?
B: Stephen, I get negative thoughts such as what if I get terminated from the job for my poor
performance? What if I fail in my exams? etc.
S: These kinds of thoughts are encountering in your mind because of your unstable mental
though pattern. Generally, people who are in your situation usually gets these kinds of
