According to this article, the skill that are required for information and communicationtechnology in the companies are capacity for teamwork, decisiveness, client focus, commitmentto learning, proactive approach, commitment to the company, innovativeness, flexibility, abilityto find information and good communication skills. Several teaching methods can beimplemented to obtain these skills which according to their usefulness. They are Lecture, casestudy, problem solving exercises, problem based learning, project based learning, cooperativelearning and learning contract. The problem and project based learning has potential to developfive skills out of the ten referred in the article. Whereas, case study is useful for improving eachof the single skills mentioned. On the other hand, cooperative learning and the learning contactcontributes in developing the skills such as client focus and commitment to the company.According to the findings, a combination of project-based learning and learning contractmethods can fulfill the market demands by enhancing the key generic skills that are required bythe information and communication industries.Wessels, P. 2ESSAYInformation and communication technology is important in every business at present timefor its development. There are various grounds where ICT can be used and accountancy is one ofthem. The professional accountants require some of the important skills to perform their tasksproperly. On to it, there are various professional bodies in a single organization that looks afterthe accountancy department. Operating system, word processing, spreadsheet, presentationsoftware, internet tools, research tools, image processing software are some the skills that arecategorized under the business automation skills. Whereas, the knowledge required for using ICTin office management are database software, database search and retrieval, accounting software,tax return preparation software, time management and billing systems, knowledge work systems.There are many more skills that are required in other fields of ICT. In modern world with theboom in technology, information and communication technology is seen as one of the key driverin changing and operating factor of business environment. International Federation of Accountacknowledge the importance of training and development of these skills of the professionalaccountants as evidenced by the in the International Education Standards and the informationtechnology guideline.
