INTRODUCTION
Collaborative relationship occur where more than one individual work together with the
motive to attain a common goals. In workplace, collaboration has become as a preferred solution
for working with the various individuals having different point of views. Hence, it is a complex
process which often force individual to learn and listen and communicate with others in a way
that they would normally would not (Eiris, Wen and Gheisari, 2022). Therefore, this report will
be based on the collaborative skill and their significance in building a relationship. Along with
this this report will also discuss impact of the relationship development and collaborative process
demonstrated in the promotion of an effective working relationship.
Explore the collaborative skills and their significance in building an effective relationship
Communication skills- when working collaboratively, then a strong communication skill
is required significantly. Teams, where all the members share their vies and contribute in
attaining a common objective, are more collaboratively than the team in which no on
share their ideas. Sharing of ideas and thoughts succinctly without disrespecting other's
ideas ensure a collaborative work. Communication skill is a significant collaborative skill
in building an effective relationship as it allow the organisation or individual to
effectively share opinion, feelings and expectation.
Adaptability- To build a collaborative workplace, every employer prefer the candidates
which has ability to adopt the changes (Kim, 2022). It is because various project may not
go as per the planning, resulting in an unforeseen delay in priorities. Therefore, ability of
adopting to changing workplace requirement is significant to a collaborative work.
Emotional intelligence- It an an ability of individual's to stay in control of how they
identify and express their emotion to other. In organisation, employer prefer the candidate
with a string emotional intelligence as it facilitate a better collaboration and cooperation
within workplace. It is very important in building a strong relationship as it help in
succeeding in work and attain individual's personal or career goals. It also help them in
connecting with their feeling and turn intention into action.
As collaborative relationship thrive within workplace an environment of curiosity and
respect. All the members of a team need to feel trusted and valued for making right decisions.
Therefore, it is identified that collaborative skill impact the relationship very essentially.
