A new study has claimed that the multi surface cleaners and disinfectants that is used
regularly by the commercial cleaning companies as well as in houses could be possible making
the children overweight. The weight gain is possibly due to the altering of the bacteria that are
found in the guts. The report has been published in the Fox 5 Las Vegas. The study was
published in the journal of Canadian Medical Association. The main findings of the study was
that the infants living in the households which uses antimicrobial disinfectants are prone to be
affected by Lachnospiraceae at ages of 3 to 4 months than the children whose household does not
use the following disinfectants. The children with much higher level of bacteria were just 3 years
old and their Body Mass Index much higher than the children living in the houses who does not
use the disinfectants. The Lachnospiraceae bacteria are normal component of the digestive
bacteria, but a higher concentration of these bacteria in the body increases the fat and resists the
effect of the insulin in the body of the children. The research was totally based on the use of the
anti bacteria disinfectants. However, the use of the detergents used to wash clothes was
completely neglected in the research. It is believed that the washing powder especially the
detergent powders contains the same amount of concentrated Lachnospiraceae bacteria and are
equally harmful like the disinfectants used in the houses. The document research was extensively
supported by the likes of Moira Differding and Noel Mueller both belonging to the department of

some major limitations of the following philosophy as because it limits the powers of the
researcher while the collection and the interpretation of the research. The pragmatism research
philosophy on the other hand includes the characteristics of both positivism and interpretivism
research philosophy and helps the researcher to perform a scientific testing of the given topic.
The interpretivism research philosophy helps the formulator of the research to consider the
meaningful observations and concentrate on the study of the human nature rather than
concentrating on the study of the scientific method used in the research. Therefore it is important
to consider the different perspectives and the opinions of the researcher as it helps in the

development of a broad and wide concept and idea of the topic of the research considering the
past and the present information of the related articles of the research topic.
Justification for the use of Research Philosophy
The research has selected to use the positivism research philosophy. The positivism
research philosophy has been used to use the factual knowledge and test the reliability of the
research questions. The use of the following philosophy allows the researcher to analyze the
collected data scientifically by using the statistical approach that is believed to be trustworthy in
nature. The use of the positivism philosophy is also useful to get a clear idea of the issues related
to the cleaning industry and relate the issues especially with the selected company of New
Zealand, Crest clean private Limited. On the other hand the selection of the interpretivism
philosophy was avoided in this regard because such a selection could have limited the researcher
to consider the different perspectives and opinions of the topic. This can also restrict the
researcher from collecting data and updating as well as analyzing the data collected in regards to
the topic of the research. The pragmatism philosophy along with the interpretivism philosophy
could have restricted the formulator of the particular research from performing a scientific and
statistical analysis of the data.
Research Approach
There are mainly two kinds of research approach that are extensively used for the
research. This includes the likes of the deductive approach and the inductive approach. The
inductive approach in research is mainly based on the formulation of new theories and models
and also to derive new approaches and patterns of the research. The conduction of the inductive
approach in the research forces the researcher to focus on the observations during the collection
of the data from the focus on the research questions. The deductive approach on the other hand

helps the research to answer the questions framed in the research and uses the different
secondary researches. The secondary researches are used to generally utilize the existing models
and theories based on the research. In case of the deductive research the researcher framing the
research is able to make different observations based on the previously existing literatures,
concepts and the different theories. Apart from this the deductive approach also helps to
transform the generalized data into a well designed scientific data that will be easy to analyze by
the researcher.
Justification for the use of Research Approach
The research to find out the issues related to the commercial cleaning industry has used
the deductive approach. The deductive approach has been selected as because it goes well with
the positivism research philosophy. The use of the following research approach also helped its
formulator to determine the answers to the questions asked in the research. Apart from this the
researcher has also been able to relate and gather data from all the previously existing theories
and models related to the cleaning industry. The researcher will be able to collect data from the
theories of quality control and management by other authors and researchers. The deductive
approach is thus helpful and more suitable in this format of the research. The general data has
also been converted to a statistical based data by the use of the following approach. The use of
the inductive approach in this particular case would have complicated the task of the researcher
as in such case would had to make new concepts and theories related to the following research.
The following would have shifted the focus of the researcher from analyzing the research
questions framed by the researcher to the development of new theories and models related to the
topic of the research. Therefore the selection of the deductive approach is very much justified
and applicable for this particular research.

Research Design
The three most widely used research designs are explanatory, exploratory and descriptive
research designs. The explanatory research design is defined as the research design can be
defined as the design of the research that provides an opportunity for the researcher to explain a
particular kind of phenomenon. Apart from this the explanatory research design helps in
predicting the future occurrences of the phenomenon in terms of the research topic. On the other
hand exploratory research design helps to test the hypothesis of the research in a proper and
efficient manner. It also helps to sort out the research objectives and research questions related to
the research. Lastly the descriptive research design is helpful for the research as it is a
combination of both the explanatory and exploratory research designs. The descriptive research
design specializes on the description of the characteristics of the population through the proper
collection of the data. The dual nature of the descriptive research design helps it to be one of the
favorites among the researchers to conduct researches of varied characteristics.
Justification for the use of Research Design
The following research has selected the descriptive research design. The descriptive
research design is selected to provide the researcher the opportunity to clarify the data related to
the questions and hypothesis of the research. The use of the particular research design allows the
researcher to develop a deep understanding and create a strong bonding of the cause and effect of
the research rationale along with the perfect prediction of the future happenings. The following
research design thus is perfectly suited for the research and makes no mistake in the findings of
the result. It helps the result to be more accurate.

Sampling technique is one of the most important considerations while commencing the
research work. The most widely used sampling techniques at the probability and non probability
sampling techniques. The samples for the conduction of the survey are collected from my first
range of population considering criteria such as experience Gender and age. The probability
sampling technique is defined as the equal chances for all the participants to be selected for the
process of Data Collection. In the following case all the participants who are selected has equal
chances to participate in the collection process. Non probability sampling technique on the other
hand is defined as the unequal chances of the participants of a particular population to be
selected for the process of Data Collection. In this particular case the researcher has selected the
participants by analyzing the suitability of the participants in respect to the topic of the research.
In the particular case the researcher will choose the participant who is accustomed to the
commercial cleaning companies. The participant will be mainly from Crest cleaning company of
New Zealand. Therefore each and every population selected for the research will have equal
chances of participating in the data collection process.

also involved a detailed selection process which was very much tough in nature. The Limited
sample size was mainly due to the limitations in the budget of the research. The limit in the
sample size also limited the scope of the research. Another important limitation was that there
were no search tools that could assess the reliability of the responses provided by the research
participants. Apart from this the lack of previous study in the following research was also one of
the major concerns during the completion of the research. The Absence of quality papers and
studies on the above subject was also one of the greatest hurdles to complete the following
research. The collection of the primary research responses are not reliable as because the
participants tend to provide Biased response and does not highlight the true picture. Last but not
the least the lack of proper time is also one of the major constraints in the research. A longer time
period could have made the research more compact in nature.
