Week 1: Learning Outcome:
Summary:
In this week a general overview was provided about the “Commercial Project Negotiation for
Managers”. In this week we were taught about the various kind of aspects related to the topic
“Commercial project negotiation” along with the better understanding of various kind of aspects
which are related to commercial project negotiation. From the course conducted in this week I
have understood the fact that the managers requires a mix of skills in order to have a proper and
effective negotiation for the commercial project managers and this skills mainly includes the
“soft skills, people management skills, subject matter management skills and many more”. In this
week I learnt about the basic idea about conflict management as well as negotiation which can
help a lot in elimination of the conflicts in a better and effective way. The course of this week
helped a lot in having a better idea about the various kind of matters which are related to the
leadership and the qualities related to management in order to manage the various kind of rising
conflicts while managing the project. Besides all this I have all understood the various kind of
differences that exists between the public and the government sector negotiation aspects and has
also been associated with reflecting the learning on the case study as well.
Week 2: Learning Outcome
Summary:
The course conducted in the second week was all about government and the non-governmental
complexities which are generally related to the contracts and this has been done by considering
the sectors that are related to the building of the agreements, ICT and the wide range of services
which are managed. However I have identified that all this topics are same and we were

proceeding towards the management of conflicts, negotiation of the projects and engagement of
the stakeholders which is initially leading to the transformation which is towards the overall
accomplishment and this initially leads to the delivering of the project in a successful way. It has
also been seen that due to the variations in the activities and also due to the delays in the various
kind of activities has led to various kind of delays and disruptive in the project and this might be
altering the overall production and also the outcomes of the project. Besides this there is a need
of managing the project constraints in an effective and efficient manner in order to have a
successful and precise outcome by considering the fulfillment of various objectives and goals
that the project is having.
Week 3: Learning Outcome:
Summary
The course of third week provided a description about the roles played by a project manager
during commercial negotiation and besides this from this course I also learnt about the fact that
are to be utilized by the managers in order to lead the project in a smooth way and also to deliver
the negotiation in successful way in order to win the contracts. Besides the procurement
management also acted as one of the major beneficial aspect of the project which helps a lot in
clarifying the different type of obligations, rights as well as the structure of the individuals who
are involved in the process of project negotiation and also in the mutual agreements. Along with
this a special stress was put upon the process of establishing a procurement team in order to
deliver the signing contracts and the other legal aspects of the project negotiation as well. There
is a possibility of gaining assistance by the project management team but despite of this the

various characteristics of the project and this mainly includes the life cycle theory, procurement
forms and all other aspects which are related to the implications of iron triangle performance.
Besides this other aspects which are related to the project management theory could also be
ultimately contributing to the development as well as to the growth of the project which initially
results in the efficient and effective delivery of the project. Another new learning included the

After the reflection and the understanding in the fourth week, in the fifth week the various facts
that are associated with the project negotiation and the development of the strategies were
discussed which are responsible for the enhancement of the quality and project standard. In this
week we have to relate the different kind of findings within the case study that has been chosen
along with collaborating the various kind of facts that are related to the difference that exists
between the project communication and the commercial negotiation. Commercial project
negotiation and project communication requires a mix set of skills of the communication in order
to establish the effective as well as efficient delivery of the negotiation process. But despite of
this both needs to be accomplished in various kind of manners so as to assure the output of the
communication which is delivered. And the end of the week we have been associated with
relating this facts with the case studies in order to deliver as well as adhere the real life practices

aspects in the real life.

The course conducted in the eight week helps a lot in analyzing the various aspects that are

The courses conducted in the last few days help us in gaining a knowledge about project
negotiation which also helped us a lot in implementing this in order to have development in the
project. But despite of all this there exists some facts which are to be considered as one of the
necessary aspect for the purpose of delivering the project and to manage the various conflicts in
the project and the quality. Besides this we were also provided with different topic which
included ethics, logic, and argument for reflecting on the previous learnings and identifying the
aspects those are considerable while delivering a project. I gained a brief knowledge about this
topic in a detailed manner and besides this I also identified the relation that exists between the
topics and the project negotiation. The knowledges gained included how this can be applied to
have a better and effective delivery of the project management strategies. I have learnt that the
