COMMONWEALTH BANK DINNER
Email
Subject: Invitation to the Commonwealth Bank’s
end of year dinner.
Dear Sir/Madam
We would like to invite you to the end of year
dinner which is held annually for all our clients,
staff members and other guests to be hosted by
the Commonwealth Bank. The dinner will be held
on the 15th of December 2018 from 6 pm to 11 pm
at the Westin Hotel at the Martin Place in Sydney.
It has been a very successful year for the bank, and
all credit goes to all our staff members. You are the
reason why the bank has been able to recover from
previous stagnation and therefore we would
appreciate your attendance. The keynote speaker
will be Malcolm Turnbull – Sydney’s prime minister
who is also a key partner in the bank (Pm.gov.au,
2018). We shall also have variety of entertainment
which will be followed by honoring some of our
staff members for their hard work and dedication.
Kindly let us have your response by 15th of
November for further arrangements. We look
forward to hosting you. Please feel free to contact
the organizing committee on the following phone
number for any questions; 111-123-4567.

Dear Rynski,
On behalf of the Commonwealth Bank, I hope the
following letter finds you in good health, and I

we would be delighted to have you
(News.nab.com.au, 2017). I would like to inform
you that the dinner will be held on the 15th of
December 2018 from 6 pm to 11 pm at the Westin
Hotel at the Martin Place, here in Sydney
(Cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au, 2018).
The National Australia Bank has been one of the
key partners in our growth ever since we
established the Commonwealth Bank of Australia
(Infoentrepreneurs.org, 2009). Our close
partnership has seen a steady improvement for
both banks (Hull, 2013). Therefore, we would be
honored by your presence. We will also be
celebrating our 107th Anniversary since the bank
was established in 1911 here in Sydney
(Commbank.com.au, 2018).
The dinner will also be hosting visitors and
investors from all over the world. This will be the
right platform to engage in discussions on how to
improve the status of the two banks as well as the
economic growth of the host country; Australia.
Your presence will be much appreciated as the
bank celebrates its achievements since it was
established and as we look back at the long journey
since it was established. Your presence will make
the dinner even more special.
Thank You.

Progress Report
A progress report to the Chief Executive Officer on
how preparations of the event are proceeding
By Adam Adams
Scope and Purpose
At the beginning of the year, the Commonwealth
Bank appointed the organizing committee and
requested it to come up with an end of year dinner
that would reflect success over the last couple of
years. The bank also emphasized on the fact that
this would be its 107th anniversary and therefore
the dinner should also reflect experience and
growth.
Progress
The organizing committee would like to
report that several landmarks have been made
ever since it was tasked with the following
obligation. First, we have been able to come up
with a date, and that is convenient for many
people staff and clients as well as our guests. This is
evident in the emails the committee has been
receiving after we sent them the invitations. We
have also managed to invite all our staff members,
75% of the clients’ list and 60% of other special
guests. Close to 80% of all those how have received

their invitations have indicated that they will be
attending. We are hopeful that as time goes by we
will receive more attendance approvals.
We have also secured the venue for the
dinner after the chairman met with the executive
director at Martin. Given the fact that that the
event will be held during the festive season, it was
important that we book the venue as early as
possible. The Prime Minister’s Office has also
confirmed his attendance.
Additional work
The committee is now focusing all its
attention and resources on the specifics that
include the venue arrangements, the food that will
be served during the dinner and security. We are
also having a hard time reaching some of our
sponsors and partners, but those that have
confirmed have indicated 100% commitment.
Expected Results
Over the next couple of weeks, we hope to
have completed the invitation process. We also aim
at ensuring 100% attendance by conducting follow-
up. All the security agencies are working closely to
ensure that we provide a full security report by the
end of June. The budget committee has also
assured us that it will be confirming how much
money will be allocated to each section of the
event (Money Matters | All Management Articles,
2018).
