INTRODUCTION
Every individual has the right to privacy and also to have
their personal information protected. This is a fundamental
right of every human, and it is important that all the
environments and organisations respect it. This covers the
health-care and social-care industries. The purpose of this
study is to learn more about health and social care
legislation, policies, and procedures.

CONFIDENTIALITY
Confidentiality in a health and social care
environment ensures that the provider
can maintain a level of trust for the
patient as part of quality assurance. This
ensures that the doctor can only warn
people who wish to hear about what a
patient has ever said or their personal
information (Banks and Brydon-Miller,
2018). This involves not revealing an
individual's personal information or
electronic documents to others but people
who really need to learn.
