INTRODUCTIONCommunication Barriers refers to the obstacle which create breakdown in thecommunication process and prevent parties to sending or receiving messages from eachother. This poster will highlight the communication barriers face by Mr Fisher, strategiesfor overcoming with these barriers and create awareness of cultural influences oncommunication and negotiation.Development of Strategies to Overcome With the Communication BarriersIn order to overcome with the communication barriers in the Organization, Company'smanager Mr Fishy can devise and implement following strategies which are as follows -One Language Policies – Manager of the firm should make language policy in which every staff ofthe organization should have at least one common language and they can only communicate in thatone common language. This will lead to no misinterpretation of the messages and no breakdown incommunication.Provide Training Opportunities – Another strategy is that manager can provide their staffs atraining program in which the focus will be on common language and cultural knowledge so thatstaffs who are from different culture and language can understand the organizational cultural andlanguage. Cultural Influences on Communication and NegotiationCultural Influences on CommunicationPeople who are from different cultural background can have differentcommunication style. A person who belongs to a culture will let another person tocomplete their sentences. While another person who are from different culturecan cut the person in middle and tell them their own point of view. Like this,culture impacts the communication.Cultural Influence on NegotiationDue to differences between cultures, the people (who are negotiatingwith each other) can perceive the goals of negotiating with each other differently.One party can perceive it from the point of view of creating relationship witheach other while the party can understand it as a way of doing contract with eachother. Like this, culture can affect the negotiation.Common Communication BarriersDue to Brexit possibilities, In the Fish and Chips Organization,there can be occurrence of communication barriers between British andNon-British staff working under the company. These communicationbarriers are as follows -Language – British staff has different language and non-British staffwho may come from different countries have different language. Thislead to wrong interpretation of common words which are speaking inall the language. This wrong interpretation can lead tomisunderstandings which result in communication breakdown. Signs and Symbols – Like language, every countries' cultures are alsodifferent. Staffs of the Fish and Chips Organization are from differentcultural background which means their nonverbal communication (inwhich signs and symbols are used) are also different. Using of thesesigns and symbols by the staffs for the communication with others canlead to creation of misunderstanding and miscommunication which leadto communication breakdown in the company.COMMUNICATION
