Components contain in construction document
The traditional construction document consists of two main physical components which are :
1. Project manual
2. Drawings
The following parts are contained in the project manual
 Bid advertisements or invitation: This document contains all information about
the project at the biding period. And its normally appear at the foremost of
project manual. It contains information such the name of the project, number
and location of the project
 Instruction to Bidders: This is the term used to bidders, they are defined in
the Standard general condition of the construction contract
 Bid Forms: These include drawings, timelines, specifications, charts and price
breakdown
 The General condition of the contract: This is the portion which set the
responsibilities of each party, it also shows the relationship between the clients
and the contractor
 Special conditions: This is conditions which are only applicable to a certain
portion of the job. It is normally an extension of a contract
 Other information relating to bidders(such as soil report); This information
enables the bidders to understand the general outlook of the project fully
 Technical specifications(Divisions2-16).This portion listed all the Technical data
and requirement.information on this part should specify all materials and technique
to be used

All contracts contain a particular set of drawing that applies to the project being carried out. The
drawing might include the actual blueprint of the project, or it can be a simple graphic
representation of the actual project and the character of work that will be done by the contractor.
