COMMUNICATION IN PROFESSIONAL CONTEXT 2 Communication in Professional Context Professional networking involves building relationships and making positive contact leading to jobs or any other opportunity that is related to work. This essay points out ways to build and maintain an employment network. One can use LinkedIn to get a job since it's a popular place to network and look for a job. Therefore one can do this by keeping his/her profile updated by adding a profile photo and including their notable skills since this will add more page views. Also, one needs to be comprehensive about existing skills and objectives as they can be used as a headline for their main objective, (Bridgstock, 2019). They should add all skills to the page to look updated, highlighting the type of position one is looking for. It is important to highlight their recent experience so as to be evident to anyone who views the page especially when one is engaging with connections and companies to land a job. Secondly, one can develop a professional network through speaking about their business. This may involve talking about what you do with your local shopkeeper to making presentations with the large groups. This will make you connect with people whom your message resonates and quickly become part of your network, (Dainton and Zelley, 2017). Publishing articles is another way of communicating your passion/goals and this will help the readers of your article to seek you out and become part of your network. Finally, one can provide their portfolio to the desired organizations as this will make the organization to really get to know you and your experiences and thereby supports your desire to build a professional relationship with them.
