ones' own opinion. It shows the self assessment of a specific topic. The present reflective has been
created using Gibbs theory of reflection, as this theory provides the best way to show the self
analysis of a particular topic. The present reflection includes the self assessment of effectiveness of
the communication in the health and social care practice. It also provides brief information about
the process of play role (role play) in effective manner along with the evaluation and learning of an
individual while playing a specific role. In the present reflection, in each part there have been
discussion based on communication, the role-play and group formation as well as evaluation &
learning from the role-play.

Reflective Log: Number 1 Communicating effectively
Description
As per my study, communication can be defined as a process of exchanging the several
information and ideas with other person through various ways whether in writing, actions or using
the word of mouth (Mehrabian, 2017).
In simple words, the communication can be defined as the means of sharing numerous
information by using such ways so that the receiver of the message can easily understand the exact
meaning of the message.
In my opinion, for the purpose of making the receiver understanding the exact meaning of
the message communicated, it is important to convey the idea or any information effectively
(Neuliep, 2017). As per my study, the communication can be performed effectively if the principles
of the communication have been followed by them including clarity. Correctness. Conciseness, etc.
Further, as per my opinion, in case of health and social care service practice, involvement of
effective communication is a major task. It can be termed as the bases of a maintaining a healthy
environment within the premises along with completion of each activity in proper way without any
chaos.
Feelings
By studying numerous books and journals based on effective communication, I have felt that
the by maintaining a healthy communication in the premises of a health and social care practice
center, they can lead in providing satisfactory services to their patients (Kim, Soenghun and Jeong,
2018). In addition, developing healthy communication with all the patients and their relatives by the
doctors and nurses, the center can enable to understand the actual need and problem of the patient
through which doctors can provide more effective services to them.
I have felt that one need to have knowledge about each type of communication so that they
can use them whenever they are needed. It can result in development of more effective
communication within the premises.
As per my opinion, the health and social care service center need to include various types of
communication networks as per the need of situation and the relation among the individuals in
which communication is needed. Adoption of appropriate type of communication network for each
situation, can lead in enhancement of effectiveness in the flow of information within the premises.

From the study of effective communication, I have analysed that a health and social care

2017). It can help it in maintaining effectiveness in flow of any idea or plan developed by the upper
authorities in the overall premises. It results in effectively completion of each task along with
achieving the goals of the center.

In my opinion, The group formation is the primary stage of development of any group. At
the formation stage, all the group members meet with each other and give their introduction to other
team members (Yu and ja Kang, 2017). They share their opinions, beliefs, interest, experiences, etc.
with each other.
I think, it is the primary stage from which the coordination among the group members starts.
It is the primary duty of a leader to make each team member comfortable with each other. At this
stage, leader need to communicate the vision and mission of the organisation with the help of which
each member can easily understand their role in the firm.
In my opinion, a leader need to make each group member understand their roles and
responsibilities in the group. For this purpose, the leader plays his important role in the center i.e.
the communicator.
I think, the effective communication of roles and responsibilities to each group member is
important as to enhance the effectiveness in performance of tasks by each group member.
