LITERATURE REVIEW
Role of effective communication in health and social care towards the patients safety
According to Fracica and Fracica, (2021), communication is the most important part of
the every sector. While this play the crucial components at all steps of health care process and
accurately sharing with patient with the information with another facility, and other staff at
health and social care discussing how to treat with current and incoming patient. However,
effective communication is always present in the health field. So, that could help the patient for
knowing about their details and can get proper treatment. This could also keep the organization
with some strong policies that can enrich their patients health. Social and health care professional
that need to recognize the importance of communication in health care in order to thrive the
system. This might be also important for working with communication that could keep the
knowledge about the changes and innovative things in organization.
As per Nguyen and et.al., (2021) said that, when considering more about the importance
of communication in health and social care, patient safety could be one of top reasons for
creating a proper structure. Inadequate communication that can often a leading cause death and
some other errors due to inadequate clinical skills. Each health care system need to keep the
multiple forms of communication so that staff must be trained in make the use of properly and
efficiently. This could play the effective role through which the organization can ensure for

Challenges facing towards effective communication in improving patients safety in social and
health care.
Patel And et.al., (2021) said that, effective and efficient communication that can crucial for
health and social care. Written communication that remains the prevalent form of
communication between the staff and patients. In health and social care system, process for the
numerous interfaces and patient among the multiple practitioners with varying from the
occupational and educational training. This could be seemed that if health care professional are
not communicating effectively for their patients safety this can have the risk such as: lack of
critical information, unclear order, overlooked changes in status and misinterpretation of
information. Lack of communication that can create the huge conflict for the patient and staff as
well. This could make their work delay and ensure them for not completing the work on given
time. The errors have some potential effective and cause the injury or unexpected death of
patient while due to lack of communication. Health and social care which required to work with
having proper collaboration so that could lead them for working with effective things and make
their working strategies more innovative. As they are required to offer the critical information
through using the various handwritten notes, e-mails, which can lead for some serious
consequence if there will be any miscommunication. Health and social care factor that are facing
the huge issues towards the development of communication and this can make them for working
fewer so that could keep in risk safety of patients. Health care professional who are required to

RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES
Research Type – There are two types of researches which are qualitative and quantitative in
nature. Qualitative research is the research type which incurs non – numerical data and
theoretical findings is present within research (Liamputtong, 2020). Quantitative research is the
research which incurs numeric findings with the help of tables and charts. The researcher will
use qualitative research type as this will help in identifying the scale of how the research will be
conducted and will ensure that the research is being created at an open end. The reason for
choosing this research is that it allows creativity to be a driving force.
Research Approach – Research approach is the approach which is defined as plans and
procedures for research which helps in spanning and knowing the details of data collection,
interpretation and analysis. Research approach is of two types – Inductive and Deductive.
Inductive approach is defined as method of reasoning which helps in analyzing body of
observations. Deductive approach is concerned by developing a hypothesis which is based on
existing theory by designing a research strategy. The researcher will use inductive type of
approach as it will help the researcher in allowing flexibility in research, it will support the
generation of new study.
Research Philosophy – Research philosophy is the belief about the way in which data about the
phenomenon should be gathered, analyzed and used (Pogosyan, 2018). There are two types of
research philosophies – interpretivism and positivism. Interpretivism is defined as the social
theory and perspective which helps in understanding events within research. Positivism is the
philosophy which is defined as factual knowledge which is gained through observation. The
researcher will use interpretivism philosophy which will help the researcher in identifying the

responses which are valid and true. This philosophy is taken so that accurate and appropriate
results are taken and viewed as the result.
Data Collection – Data collection is defined as the process of gathering and measuring
information which helps in enabling relevant questions and evaluate outcomes. There are two
types of data collection methods which are defined as – primary and secondary. Primary data
collection is the process of collecting data through surveys, interviews and experiments.
Secondary data collection is the process of collection of data gathered by someone else. The
researcher will use both primary and secondary data collection methods as this will help the
researcher in knowing the major aspects as to how effectively the progressive steps will be taken
in the research.
Sampling – Sampling is defined as the process in statistical analysis in which pre - determined
number of observations is taken from the larger population at large scale. This helps in
identifying that sample of 30 healthcare professionals is taken (Bhardwaj, 2019). This will
ensure that the primary and secondary data will be conducted effectively and in appropriate
manner for the research which will be undertaken. The sampling will also ensure that research is
to be conducted in knowing the response of the healthcare professionals which will be
undertaken. This will also enhance the research and will depict exact results in significant
manner.
Ethics – The data used within the research has been ethically sourced and is bias free and this is
being analysed and considered as sign from the professionals. Only ethical information is taken
into consideration in the research and this helps in knowing the basis through which all major
changes are done and the research is conducted at all ethical basis. Ethical values in the research
have been taken care of for the project research which helps in knowing the basis through which
all major aspects as to how the research will be undertaken. Thus, ethical considerations are
taken into concern.
Research Limitations – Research limitation is the term which is defined through the facts and
aspects which limits the research and they are time, resources and money (Theofanidis and et.al.,
2018). These are the major limitations which are considered as knowing basis through which all
major changes are taken into consideration as lack of time, money and resources limits research
to be undertaken successfully. These issues and limitations are major causes through which the

patients and on the same time taking care of them (Ghosh and et.al., 2019). Patients’ safety was
taken care of by communicating with them effectively and denoting the challenges which were
being undertaken and noticed in the research. This helped in knowing the basis through which
strategies can be framed which helped in improving the scale of communication for patients’
safety and health related problems. This helped in knowing that how the healthcare system was
being taken into consideration.
It has been also found that the healthcare system is being taken care of and this helped in
knowing that the patients are able to communicate with the healthcare professionals so that major
effective communication strategies can be taken care of (da Silva Frost and et.al., 2020). This
means that the patients were able to communicate with the healthcare professionals which helped
in taking concern of how the changes were taken place in their communication. This helped the
patients in knowing more about healthcare systems which are undertaken in the research in and
effective and efficient manner in possible manner.
