What is Communication and therapeutic alliance?
Communication is considered as a
process to send information from one
person to another or can also be said a
process to exchange information,
thoughts and feelings between different
individuals using speech or other means
(Riley, 2015).

A therapeutic alliance is described as “an
communicative and bilateral relation
among the healthcare members be it a
nurse or a therapist and patient” It is
considered as an important factor for the
outcome of therapy (Pagnotta, Blumberg,
Ponterotto & Alvord, 2018).

Importance of communication
Effective communication plays
a significant function in the
healthcare system from the
experience of the patient of
his/her treatment, to a large
portion of the accountability
falls on nurses (Bello, 2017).
Good communication among the
healthcare members and all the
patients is very significant for the
successful accomplishment of
individualized nursing care of each
individual present in the healthcare
system (Bello, 2017).
