INTRODUCTION
Communication skills are referred to the ability of conveying the message to the
seniors, staff and colleague. The communication skills are mandatory for an organization in
order to carry out efficient communication flow of the organization of every industry. It is
very important for the employees of the organization to communicate effectively and
efficiently in the digital era. In the current situation the communication has evolved
efficiently with the help of various electronic platforms such as phone, social media and
email. The communication skills are very essential in order to carry out the smooth operation
of the business as it is pervasive (Afolabi, Segun and Fawale, 2021).
The study revolves around the importance of communication in the business. The
study states how important it is for the organization to communicate the message between the
receiver and sender. The efficient communication allows the business to convey the material
thoughts to the necessary stakeholders (Al-Musalli, 2019).

TASK 2- Oral Communication
Role play
The oral communication skills are very important for businesses. The importance of
oral skills is explained with the help of a role play. The role play revolves around the
conversation of the concerned authority with a customer who was promised the delivery of a
product and the customer had taken off for the purpose. The role play is about how efficiently
the person deals with the irate customer and responds in a positive manner (Blewitt, Parsons
and Shane, 2018). The conversation is as follows-
Customer : Hello. I was promised the delivery of my product for 01.07.2021. As a
confirmed delivery was assured by your side, I had taken a leave from my work to supervise
the delivery of the product as in to have customized fixtures. It is very disappointing to face
such a careless behavior from a reputed organization. I had ordered the product two days
prior to the delivery date and it still has not been delivered. It is very annoying to waste a day

waiting for the delivery of the product. Please assure me the latest date of the delivery of the
product. The experience has been very disheartening from your side (Coffelt and Smith,
2020).
Me : I reach out to you on behalf of our organization. Kindly accept my sincerest
apologies for the delay caused in the delivery of your product. The delayed delivery has been
brought to our notice and we are looking forwards to deliver the product very shortly. The
delay had been caused due to the high demand of the products and lesser delivery men. The
product will be delivered by the next morning. We understand your dissatisfaction with the
delayed delivery. In order to compensate our mistake we will be offering you the delivery of
your product free of cost which means you need not pay the delivery charges. Kindly accept
our apologies and we will make sure to avoid these mistakes in future. Is there anything else
that we can help you with?
Customer : Nothing else, I just wanted to enquire about the delivery of the product and I
acknowledge your compensation for the delayed delivery. Kindly deliver the product
positively by the next morning (Hall, 2017).
Me : Need not worry sir. It will be delivered this time as promised. Keep shopping

TASK 3- Written Communication
Explain the various communication tools that are effective for the business writing in
conveying the information to the organization prior to interview.
Written communication is very important in term of business communication. The
written communication must be efficient enough to grab attention of the readers. The written
communication facilitates the receiver to understand the perspective of the sender. Written
communication is more preferred as this acts as a proof of communication in the business.
There are various methods of communicating with the help of written communication such as
E mails, Letters, contracts etc.
Purpose of written communication in the business-
 The written communication allows a better connectivity between the sender and the
receiver of the messages (Lenard and Pintarić, 2018).
 The written communication facilitates clarity of the message and makes it easy to
understand for the receiver.
 The written communication makes that purpose or the cause behind the message easy
understand that may facilitate future actions of the receiver.
 The purpose of written communication is to stay within the required limit of the
words and avoiding the situation of a bulky message (Leontev, 2018).
 The written communication facilitates correct tone of the message that is to be
conveyed to the receiver. The purpose of written communication in business is to
maintain the formal tone that avoids grammatical mistakes.

Styles of business writing
 Instructional business writing- Instructional business writing facilitates the reader
an access to the information that is necessary in order to accomplish the task. The
information can either be for the immediate purpose or for future references too (Li,
2019). The examples of informational writing are memo, user manual, etc.
 Informational business writing- The written communication is sometimes required
for the purpose of record or reference and act as important documents. The purpose of
informational writing is to record the information for future references or proof
against various obligations. The various types of informational business tools are
minutes, reports, etc.
 Persuasive business writing- The persuasive business writing communication is
mostly related with enhancing sales. They are mostly direct and in consideration of a
specific item and have emphasis upon building good relationship with the customers
(Murtazaeva, 2021). The various types of persuasive writing include sales emails,
press release, etc.
 Transactional business writing- The communication in the organization that takes
place on a day to day basis is termed as transactional business writing. The various
methods of transactional business writing are official letters, invoices, etc. These are
mostly used to convey news in aspect of the Human resource department.
The task contains evidence for the information that were asked during the interview process.
The evidence includes a CV, Formal E mail and formal letter (Peña-Acuña and del Henar
Sánchez-Cobarro, 2017).
