INTRODUCTION Communication is the process of giving information to other individuals by using numberof means (Eppler, 2006). In health and social care firm, communication has a great importance.This is because; an effective communication will enable the health care professionals to carry outtheir efforts in terms of understanding the needs and demand of its respective patients in aneffectual manner. Thus, through this way, firm can deliver high quality services to its patients.The present report is based on number of case scenarios. In accordance with the given context,report will depict about different communication skills which are used within health care firms(HSC). Furthermore, the study will also give description about the factors which lead toinfluence the communication process of HSC. TASK 1: ROLE PLAY In the role play activity, I am playing the role of health care professional. Being at theposition of health care professionals, I have assessed different communication barriers which areoccurring at the time of communicating with my team members and service users. One of themajor problems which I had found was of poor receptive communication. Thus, on the basis ofgiven scenario, following tables are filled:Q1. Thus, in order towork with the given patients,I will use my writtencommunication skills. In thisregard, I will deliver mymessage to such patients bywriting on some notepad(Clarke, Riley andDougherty, 2004). Non-verbal communicationI also deal with the patientswho cannot hear properly.Thus, in order give mymessage to such patients, Iwill use my non-verbalcommunication abilitywherein I will use my facialexpression and body posturesfor the purpose to give mymessage to these patients inan effective manner. tactics. But, still I am not ableto diagnose the problemwhich is being faced by it. Asa result of this, I haverecommended her to someother doctor. This is anopportunity loss for myhealth care firm.For instance, recently, onepatient who is having hearingand speaking difficulty hasvisited in my office. Here, Iam not able to understandwhich she wants tocommunicate me about herproblem. Due to this,inappropriate interpersonalcommunication is there inbetween us and I am not ableto deliver my best services toher (Reeves and et.al., 2011).services to my patients. Here, in order to resolve theissue related to the languagebarrier, I will direct myefforts in terms of carryingout the appointment of anappropriate translator. Here, Iwill recruit such translatoronly who is able to speak innumber of languages.In the similar way, with anaim to give an effectiveservice to the patients who arehaving hearing and speakingproblem, I will attain thetraining program on signlanguage. Through this way, Ican communicate effectivelywith the patients who aresuffering with the abovementioned problem. Thus, itis with the help of givenmethods only, I will deal withthe issue of inappropriateinterpersonal communication(Chou and et.al., 2009).
