INTRODUCTIONThis report shows how a company better coordinate its employees in better way and wantsto improve more interpersonal relations between the different department in the organisation. TheHotel Collection is engaged in a chain of hotels and resorts, with a brand new beach resort in SriLanka. The company wants that how company employees will improve their communication witheach other. Company wants to improve the work culture so that there are no disputes in thecompany. All the employees can work effectively and efficiently in order to survive in thecompetitive market. Company also wants to improve the communication skills of the employeesand wants to know the barriers that occur in the communication of the employees and how toimprove all those barriers. LITERATURE REVIEWCommunication is affected by different barriers because of which communication isdisturbed and distorted leading to a condition of misunderstanding and failure of effectivecommunication. According to Shakirova and et.al., (2016), Linguistic Barriers highly affects thecommunication in the organisation. These barriers are because of the different languages which isthe main barrier that limit the effective communication. It has been estimated that within a fewkilometres languages of the people changes and the employee’s languages are also different and thisbecomes barrier between employer and employee. Some employer becomes personally biased onthe basis of the languages spoken by their employees and gives more preferences to employees whospeak same language as they speak.According to Croft and et.al., (2015), Psychological barriers affects more than LinguisticBarrier. These barriers are because of the different psychologies of the employees present in theorganisation. Some people have stage fear, phobia, depression etc. and in these all situation anemployee's effective communication gets hampered. Rich, and et.al., (2016) mentioned that both psychological and linguistic barriers does notaffect the communication but emotional barriers affects more communication in the organisation.Emotional Barriers are the mixtures of emotions such as anger, frustration, humour etc. whichaffects the communication in the organisation. A person who will be emotionally mature will beable to communicate effectively as compare to those employees who are emotionally weak.
