The report has helped in analysing the process of communication which is required to
be followed for communicating with the chosen target group which is the CHILDREN in this
respect. The proper description of the different barriers related to communicating with the
children is required to be identified effectively. The clear understanding is required to be
demonstrated and identified for the different skills of communication which is essential for
communicating effectively with the chosen client group. Moreover, the identification of the
applicable resources is necessary which will help with communicating with the children.
Definition of Communication
According to Brady et al. (2016), communication plays a major role in imparting
along with exchanging the different information by different means which is inclusive of the
speaking, writing along with using other medium in managing the overall effectiveness.
Moreover, Kassam et al. (2015), has commented that the communication is necessary in all
aspects of life and it can be one and two-way communication which is necessary to analyse
the viewpoints of both the parties effectively.
Importance of Communication
Valenzuela et al. (2014), has opined that the effective communication process plays a
major role in development of the organization. The process of communication is wherein this
helps the managers in performing the basic kinds of functions of the management which is
inclusive of planning, motivating, organizing along with controlling the different activities

receiving the information effectively without any kinds of barriers. Hawkridge, Vincent and
Hales (2018), has hypothesised that if there is no such process of communication, this can
diminish and hamper the different organization related activities and the entire organization
will be suffered as well.
Barriers in Working with Children
Hawkridge, Vincent and Hales (2018), has commented that while communicating
with the children, children requires good speech along with language skills which are
required to interact with individuals as this will help in succeeding in educational settings
along with in other areas of life. Light &Mcnaughton (2015), has opined that in working with
children of different age groups, there are different barriers which are being faced such as
there can be communication gap between the child and the other person as they have different
mood swings.
Furthermore, this can be noticed that there are temperament issues which are being
faced in handling their tantrums. Valenzuela et al. (2014), has commented and hypothesised
that there can be language barriers as in different play schools, which can lead to
communication gap which is affecting the overall efficiency in managing them in an effective
manner. Additionally, there can be speech barriers in handling the children and working with
them. There can be various conditions such as cerebral palsy which has affected the nerves of
the children which can make the entire communication process difficult (Light
&Mcnaughton, 2015).
For instance-There are different disabilities such as Autism which can hinder the
communication development which can make the entire process difficult and this will affect
the overall communication skills.

Lastly, this can be seen that there can be language barriers such as Dyslexia which
can be one problem wherein the problem is that the child finds it difficult in learning the
words and this will be difficult for handling the different issues in an effective manner (Brady

There are different communication skills which are required to be analysed in an
effective manner which will be helpful in managing the communication process effectively.

dyslexia and autism which will be difficult for handling the issues and managing them in an
effective and appropriate manner.
Firstly, let the child finish talking and then responding is the first option which can be
essential in nature in handling the issue in an effective manner. The clarity in the speech is
essential and necessary as this will help in handling the different demands of the children
with different inefficiencies. The friendliness is essential in nature in managing the overall
effectiveness and appropriateness (Pickles et al., 2016).
Secondly, in handling the different children with different kinds of inefficiencies,
this is essential in nature to deal with such situation with proper friendliness as this will help
in appreciating their efforts and they should not sound aggressive in their approach as well.
The open-minded approach is necessary in dealing with children as this will be effective in
understanding their issues and solving their issues in a friendly manner.

There are different resources which can be used for communicating with the children
are as follows:
Firstly, this is essential in nature in responding to the different gestures of the children
which will be beneficial in handling their different bad temper. Furthermore, Valenzuela et al.
(2014), has commented that while handling the different age group children, this is necessary
to behave as per the respective age and child friendly in nature. This will enable the children
in opening up to the concerned person and the problem will be solved easily as well.
Moreover, addressing the child in a holistic manner is mandatory in nature which will
be helpful in analysing the needs and perspectives of the different children in an appropriate
manner. The learning preparedness skills for schools is essential and necessary and this is one
of the major resourcesthat are helpful and helpful for the totalaccomplishment of the firm in a
constructive manner (Norwich & Eaton, 2015). Lastly, be positive and strengths-based
activities is important that will be useful for the overall success of the firm and gain
competitive advantage in an effective manner as well.

Therefore, this can be inferred that there are different kinds of barriers which can be
faced in managing the children. There are different issues related to the different speech,
