Communication Style Questionnaire for Master of Management for Engineers

The questionnaire is developed and designed to consider the status of an individual while talking and placing their opinions in front of an audience and managing the team tasks. The SWOT analysis of self-communicative skills is also discussed along with an action plan for improvising communication skills.

The questionnaire is developed and designed to consider the status of n individual while
talking and placing their opinions in front of an audience and managing the team tasks. This
questionnaire is meant to assist n individual in knowing their inherent communication
capabilities (Al-Araki, 2015). By the use of this questionnaire, I was able to ascertain my
hidden skills of communication with the unknown audience. Along with this, this has also
helped me in showcasing my communication talent and making use of the same in a best
suitable manner.

The questionnaire designed above shows that I prefer theory communication that seeks to
unite observations and findings into rational theories. I solve problems in a practical and
reasonable sense; my approach towards data collection is based on sound facts to lead team in

a strategic direction. I approach problems in a logical sense to resolve team issues and in
order to gain their trust.
I prefer to discover my latent skills through continuous improvement in my approach towards
the problem I face in talking to people of acquaintance.

Further, the questionnaire model determines strengths and weakness in terms of internal
communication, and with the aspects which evident to be opportunity and threats alongside
(Solaja, Idowu & James, 2016). Hence, by making use of SWOT analysis of my my team
management skills, I introduced myself to my greater strengths of decision making and
problem-solving, by considering as an outsider perspective in order to consider overall
aspects. The opportunity areas show passion towards reasonable neutrality instead of placing
higher restriction and subjectivity.
Above analysis has been evaluated by considering situations of last year:
Academic Sessions- At the time of academic sessions, regardless of being confused about the
topic, it was not possible for me to place my doubts and queries in front of the teacher, all
because of my insufficient confidence.
Attending seminars: During my college seminar, I was selected by the college to discuss a
short topic in front of an audience and practical task to lead a team (He & Van de Vijver,
2015). However, it was not possible for me to answer the questions of because of ineffective

communication at that time. However, my team trusted me for background task as they had
faith in my skills and capabilities.
Action plan
For improvising communication skill I will attending seminars and participate in public
speaking activities. I will also participate in group activities and will take feedback from
seniors and group members.
