another project, The Civic Future Program is The Young Foundation, in partnership with the
Greater London Authority (GLA) and in this project some amazing people are active across
London to learn from and support each other in building the future. This project is made for
development of students and to provide them better facilities so that they can choose best option

and giving them relevant details. LSE engagement programmes tackle issues which is faced by
charities and try to find creative solutions. Both programs are different but aim is to develop
society and plans are made for accomplishing targets. In community engagement people are
coming together for achieving common targets. In my project, all members work hard and focus
on solving issues which charitable organisation is facing.
Community engagement principles
There are some community engagement principles which can be applied by charitable
organisations for achieving goals and objectives. Some community engagement principles are,
fairness, justice, empowerment, self – determination and participation. In my project, our team
has used fairness, empowerment and participation principle because all people are having right to
share their views and there is no discrimination among people. All the members are taking part
actively and focusing on achieving goals and objectives (Evans and et.al., 2018). The main aim
of LSE is to empower student to provide help to charity program whereas in another project,
principle of community engagement which is applied are, fairness, justice and participation. All
people are getting equal chance and participating actively for achieving common goals.
Analysis of projects
There are two different project i.e., one is LSE community engagement programme which
is related to provide help to charitable organisation in solving issues. Another project is The
Civic Future Program in which students are encouraged to help and support each other in
building future. This project is beneficial for students as well as for society because students can
get relevant details and they can select best option to get good opportunities in future.
Community engagement program aims at helping people in society and for their betterment.
Some main issues which is faced by charitable organisations are, unemployment, poverty,
climatic conditions and other problems (Goodman and et.al., 2017). Students can learn new
things and enhance their knowledge because people are having different ideas and it help in
accomplishing targets. All members are having right to share their views so that better plans can
be made for achieving success. Students should suggest some ideas which is beneficial in
providing help to needy people of society.

In my project, all are having right to share views and if ideas are good then it is
implemented so that society our community engagement can provide good facilities to society
and help them by solving issues. There are some similarities and differences in both projects but
their aim is to help society and make plans for betterment of society. The aim of Civic future
program is to increase awareness among students and they should help each other to select best
option for future. For accomplishing targets, it is essential to make good plans or strategies and
make changes if required. This reduce chances of mistake and work can be completed on time.
Principles of engagement applied in both projects is similar and aim of making this project is
similar. So, both projects are made for benefit of society and it is helpful in development of
society.
Evaluation of best practices
There are some practices which can be used so that goals can be accomplished and there
will be no issue. For achieving target, it is essential to make plans or strategies, divide work
among all members. This helps in completing work on time and less chance of mistake. In my
project, equal opportunity is provided to all community members and there is no discrimination
among members on the basis of gender, caste, religion, race etc (Noori, 2017). This is one of the
important strategy for achieving success because if all members are not having right to share
their views or participate in decision making process then may be members get demotivated. So,
it is important to give equal opportunity to all members who are involved in community
engagement program. For success of project, all community members should be allowed to share
their views and suggest ideas which is beneficial in growth of society. Project may be different
but the way of doing way is similar.
In project ‘The Civic Future programme’ equal opportunity is given to all members and
schedule activities. Community members has divided work and schedule all the activities
accordingly. It is important to make plans for all activities and implement plans on the basis of
that to achieve goals and objectives. Both projects are applying similar practice i.e., giving equal
opportunity to all community members so that better plans can be made and better decisions are
taken which is beneficial for development of society (Fullinwider, 2020). When rights are given
to members then they are motivated and suggest good ideas which is helpful in development of
society. All the people are different from each other, their thinking style is different and way of
implemented so that society our community engagement can provide good facilities to society
and help them by solving issues.
Principles of engagement applied in both projects is similar and aim of making this project is

to members then they are motivated and suggest good ideas which is helpful in development of
society. All the people are different from each other, their thinking style is different and way of
observing things is also different (Martinez and et.al., 2020). So, when all members are allowing
to share their views then maybe they can give good ideas.
Difference in effective communication and participation of stakeholder
It is essential that in every project, there must be effective communication among all
members so that work can be done properly. In my project, all members were having right to
interact with each other and this helps in achieving goals and objectives. It is important to apply
organisational structure so that there will be no confusion (Alyammahi and et.al., 2020). In my
project, divisional structure is applied in which roles and responsibilities of every person is
mentioned, goals and objectives are also defined. This helps in completing work on time and
members have to do work as per the instructions given. In another project, functional structure is
applied to distribute work. In both the projects, members are having right to share views and
communicate with each other so that work can be completed on time. It is important to allow
members to interact with each other to avoid confusion and reduce chances of duplicate work.
Stakeholder play a crucial role in implementation of project and give some ideas which is
beneficial in development of society (López‐Arceiz and Bellostas, 2020). Stakeholder in my
project are government, organisation and people who are involved in program. It is essential to
involve stakeholder before taking any decision because they are having experience and better
ideas can be generated which help in development of society. In my project, community
engagement program take initiation towards helping charity and diversifying strategic plan. On
the basis of program students improves their knowledge and skills positively. Some relationship
between stakeholders are positive and neutral. Stakeholders are engaged positively and suggest
better ideas which is beneficial in achieving goals and objectives. Sometime audience did not
take initiative towards student due to fraud and it has neutral impact. So, according to my
opinion it is important to involve stakeholders before taking any decision so that plans can be
implemented properly and there will be no issue in achieving targets.
Community mapping
Community mapping refers to identify assets of their neighbourhood, looking new
opportunities that can be grab for achieving targets. It also includes, creating a picture of what it
is like to live and responsibility of community members towards society. The purpose of
community mapping is to collect data so that a map can be created which includes assets and
resources within a defined area (Saija and et.al., 2017). A community map involves, people,
to share their views then maybe they can give good ideas.
In my

community mapping is to collect data so that a map can be created which includes assets and
resources within a defined area (Saija and et.al., 2017). A community map involves, people,
physical structure, institution and organisation which can be utilised for creating a meaningful
project. It is important to make plans properly so that there will be no issue in future and goals
can be accomplished. In my project, community mapping is not used but plans or strategies are
made so that members can focus on their work and there will be less chance of mistake. In
another project, community mapping is not applied and they make plans as per the aim and focus
on creating awareness among students for helping and supporting each other.
Engagement of social media
Social media is one of the important tool which is used by community members to provide
information to people about their project. It is best technique which can be used for promotion of
project and this captures wide area of market. This tool is applied in my project so that more
people can get information about our project i.e., to help charitable organisation in solving issues
and to provide people good environment (Chatterjee and Kar, 2020). It is essential to give
advertisement on social networking sites, newspapers and magazines so that people can get
relevant details. Social media helps in capturing wide area and people are more active on social
sites nowadays, so it is appropriate way to engage social media.
Blogs are given on social networking sites to attract people and provide them information. In
another project, social media platform is used for promotion and this helps in attracting more
people. For achieving target, it is essential to use some techniques for promotion so that people
can know and they will support. So, social media is engaged in both the projects and people can
share their views and suggest some ideas if they need any change. Advertisement should be
given in creative and innovative way so that people get attracted and support project (Shearer
and Mitchell, 2021).
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion it can be concluded that, community engagement plays a crucial
role in achieving goals. It helps in solving issues and better plans are made for achieving targets.
Community principles such as, justice, participation, empowerment and fairness has been
discussed which is applied in both projects. Difference between both the projects and analysis
