Community engagement is a dynamic rational procedure which provide facilities and
services communication, interactions, exchange and involvement between an organisation and a
community for wide range of social and organisational results. The community engagement is
the community which is community centred orientation that are based on dialogue. It enable
more contextualisation understanding and evaluating the community members point of view of
the topics and facilitate strong relationship between community people as well as organisation.
While community organising and managing involves the procedure of developing a grass-roots
movement which includes communities (Baldus, Voorhees and Calantone, 2015). Community
engagement is a strategic procedure with particular purpose and motive of working along with
identifying large number of people, whether they are connected with geographical location, their
different interest, or affiliation to recognise and address various issues that directly affect on their
well being. The report is based on Trouble to magic which is painting and decorating company
and it is situated in United Kingdom. Along with this, the main purpose of this report is to
understand and evaluate the concept of transferable skills and describe organisational analysis of
the company.

organisational is to identify the major issue and problem so that strategies can be developed that

In strength, the key areas in which organisation excels and differentiate itself from
competitor. Key strength areas include the brand value, large satisfied consumer, advanced
technology etc. are key areas in which company strengths (Dubowitz and et. al., 2015). Trouble
to magic is small painting and decorating company which has flourishing and getting growth in
the large market place. The owner is also aware about taste and preferences to some of the
perspectives customers and thus it can provide best quality based services or facilities in better
manner. They are using best skilled and experience workers who perform their job in good
manner so they can easily get success and growth. Also they are perform target based job where

all employees are getting wages on the basis of per hour. Before decorating and painting the
building and house, Trouble to magic require to using content page for presentation in front of
client for analysing their view and reviews. The lack of major in house product which develop
the business flexible to render the needs and requirements (Hespanhol and et. al., 2015). The
company executing their designing ideas and thoughts for attracting more clients in better
manner. For maintaining community engagement, it is required to company is to analysing their
strength through which they are taking good position in the large market place.
In weakness, the presence of established names and persons within Trouble to magic in
the area who are already have loyal clients who makes it hindrance for new entrant to get
established in the new market area. Along with this, sometime company does not satisfy all
clients' needs and requirements in better way. Sometime the absence of any past business
experience of the owner and lack of specialised goods and services. If firm does not provide

they can expand their business operations and functions in different areas. They need to maintain
good relationship with all stakeholders such as suppliers, vendors and technicians that can also
help in generating accurate referrals for the business which can lead towards enhancing sales. In
enhancing delivering services in the area that has led to opening in the completely new market

of working capital is high in painting and decorating industry which cause difficulty to local
player and big firms enjoying economics of scale. The big company in this industry have high
brand image and quality products and good promotion activities which attract customer in UK
market. Threat of new entrance is low in Painting and Decorative industry in UK.
In the context of Threats of substitutes, rural area market local style painting and
decorative can be use as substitute. Another alternative for decorative items and paintings
available today are posters and reuse handmade item in the market of UK. Availability of various

about paintings and decorative products. The price performance of painting an decorative item is
high and also availability of substitute is low in UK market.
In Bargaining power of Suppliers, some of the key pigments for painting paints face
global supply shortage, thus suppliers of these material has solid bargaining power. Other raw
materials for decorative products and painting have high price fluctuation affecting industry
profits (Moser and Pike 2015). Raw materials use for paintings and decorative products are
paints, wooden, fancy decorative item etc. The bargaining power of supplier in Painting and
Decorative industry is medium in UK.
In the context of Bargaining Power of Buyers, the main customer of this industry is
households and industrial users in UK. For housing requirements, the buyers are Building
contractors and interior decorator who buy in bulk and end people who wants to decorate their

the market of UK. Bargaining power of buyer as a whole is medium in Paint and Decorative
industry.
In Competitive Rivalry, the current market growth rate can provide ample room of
opportunities for all players who want to enter in this market. Trouble to magic is the only
decorative company that manufacture some special showcases in the UK. Presence of few
unorganized and small firm can cause competition in this industry. The Competitive rivalry of

engagement, I can analyse that this topic is more inclined towards self skills enhancement rather
than interacting with other people. The word community is used for number of people but the
skills and attributes which are necessary to be in a community are individual. Main purpose of

this element is to provide a sense of the whole situation so that confusion and overlapping can be

Conclusion - Under this stage of reflection cycle model, learner identifies the steps and
further actions which could be done by them to enhance their learning process. According to me,
there were various situations where I was unable to analyse the scenario and in order to rectify it
I could have use effective evaluation models. Nature of this stage is wider has it is related to all
other steps of this reflection cycle. Main purpose of conclusion is provide benefit to learner by
allowing them to ascertain their mistakes.
Action plan - This stage is a set of activities which are ascertained by the learner to
perform if the same situation arises in future. According to me, there are various activities which
should be done by me to effectively evaluate community engagement. These actions are
identified by me so that they can provide benefit to me for future. For example I have ascertained
that instead to using usual analytical models such as SWOT and PESTLE, there are various more
tools are also present which could be used in future such as Ansoff model and many more. Main
purpose of this stage is to provide benefit to the learner for future aspects.
