INTRODUCTION
Community Engagement refers to the various types of approaches and methods which
can be used in order to ensure that the engagement of a wide range of communities can be done
effectively and efficiently in a proper manner (Adhikari and et.al., 2017). This will help the
communities to be able to attain their wide range of goals and objectives in the short-term,
medium-term and long-term. For this report, Oxfam has been considered. It is a charitable
organization which puts its focus on providing of a wide range of charitable services to the
different types of people. In this report, a detailed and specific focus will be made on reflection
on the personal experience with reference to the business.
MAIN BODY
Scenario- I am a student studying in an university. I was given a project of Community
Engagement to work on. Therefore, I will make a detailed reflection on the best practices of
Community Engagement which can be used in order to make sure that the conclusions and
recommendations can be drawn.
Practices used in Community Engagement-
According to me, the best practices which can be used in Community Engagement are as
follows-
 Working Collaboratively- It is quite important that the appropriate practices are used so
that the Community Engagement can be done properly (Caspe and Lopez, 2018). This
will be helpful in ensuring that the collaboration can be ensured in a right manner
effectively and efficiently. From the work which was done by me in the project, I learned
that this is important in the field of community engagement.
 Scheduling of activities- It is crucial that the scheduling of a wide range of activities is
done so that the communities can make sure that they are able to maintain their detailed
needs and requirements effectively and efficiently (Cook and et.al., 2017). Therefore, In
this manner it can be said that the work which was done by me in the project helped me
in understanding that the this is an important area in the field of community engagement.
For the completion of the Project, I had to research a lot on the best organization which I can
select for it. Thus, after doing a lot of research I cam to a conclusion that Oxfam is the best
organization which I can select for the project. It is so because this organization is engaged in a
