INTRODUCTION
Community assessment is a procedure which is useful in determining the strong aspects,
requirements, needs and challenges of the particular community. Its assets defines the skills,
abilities and talents of individuals and resources that are contributed by local institutions to
community. This need is considered as the systematic procedure in order to identify and
recognise the requirements and desirable conditions for the basic requirements. In order to
develop a community it need identification of community issues and attitudes and also assess the
social and economic conditions of community (Vieira and et. al., 2019). To develop a
community, it is required to collect information as it collected with the help of two sources that
are primary and secondary which is useful in gathering appropriate information.
To carry forward this report, Bridgend is considered which is a country or Borough in
Wales and for this, specific community is considered which is “Morgan” as it is Celtic in origin,
from the ancient times of Wales. As this report is going to cover the different aspects about this
profile like identification of demographic health needs of community and define 2 key issues of
interest by discussing social determinants of health model. Moreover, it also discuss the potential
impact of Brexit or climate change on the health conditions of specific community. Lastly, it also
identify the ways to reduce the impact of Brexit or climate change on that community.

Identification of demographic health needs of Morgans
By considering the population of Bridgend, Wales and examining their economic
characteristics, Morgan community is broadly discussed as it describes an area which is useful in
understanding the trends that are related with growth, income, demographic area and quality
needs of population. Health needs are the factor that impacts the overall working conditions and
demographic areas and their concerning change to determine the kinds of health and social
services which is required by community (Xu and et. al., 2019). People of Morgan community in
early middle age belongs from priests and other who are literate are accountable for mentioning
suitable data in official documents. For this, major health issues in the Morgan community on
the basis of demographic area is discussed as underneath:
Anxiety and depression: Depression and anxiety occurs at the same stage or time and
determined that around 45 per cent of the population suffers from this as it describes the mental

conditions and health of people. As it describes the major disorder among people and it generates
within the time period of 12-25 that is termed as the depression age within the youth of Morgans

their feelings, take proper diagnosis and so on because at this, suicide is the only option
that comes in the mind of people.
Diabetes: It is quite common disease which occurs because of the fluctuation of blood
glucose or when the blood sugar gets high. Here, glucose is considered as the main source of
energy which impacts the hormones and insulin. As having more glucose in body leads to
develop health related problems. Moreover, diabetes is of two types juvenile in which body fails
to produce insulin and type 2 diabetes describes that body uses insulin in which body does not
respond in an effective manner.
 In Morgan community people, its symptoms in men and women both are different as in
men poor muscle strength, erectile dysfunction and decreased sex drive. Meanwhile in
women, it include dry skin, yeast infections and urinary tract infections and it can occur
at any age group because of the lack of insulin and glucose within the body (McCredie
and Morey, 2019).
 Morgan people need to proper treatment of insulin and manage their diet and exercise
that help their people to maintain and overcome their disease.
 By examining the Morgan community people, it is described that juvenile diabetes is
most commonly seen among themselves.
Blood pressure: It occurs because of hypertension as when blood pressure increases at
unhealthy level. For this, measurement of blood pressure is important as it helps in knowing that
blood is passing through blood vessels and appropriate amount of blood meets the heart and
manages its pumping rate.
