Introduction
Community services are services done voluntarily by a group of people or an individual with the
purpose of giving back to the community. Are social work is done for free in the community
without expecting any reward of money back, therefore, the services are only performed aiming
to benefit the selected community (Jorm & Mulder, 2018). Also, personal advantages may come
out as result towards the individual performing the task.
However, in this report, the description of community services will be discussed based on the
community agency called Beyond Blue. This is an integrated community Agency which deals
with matters related to suicide, anxiety disorder, depression, and any other mental related
disorder.
The Purpose of Beyond Blue
This is the organization in Australia which works non-selective towards proving knowledge and
support to all people in Australia possibly to maintain mental health care regardless of where
they live or their ages. Other function of Beyond Blue, is to deal with people having issues like
suicide, anxiety and other mental disorders which affects human begin life negatively (Harman
& Heath, 2017). Young people, men and women, older and multicultural people, Torres Strait
and Aboriginal Islander people, gay trans, bi, intersex and lesbian all these groups are being
handled by Beyond Blue not forgetting early parenthood and pregnancy mothers. Beyond Blue
can prevent individuals and groups of people from being affected and the same time helps those
are affected (Rose, Williams, Olsson, & Allen, 2018).
