Introduction
Conservation Volunteers Australia has collaborated with the individuals, business,
and governments in the conservation of the exclusive atmosphere. This organization
established in the year 1982 to support the diversity of the crucial tasks or projects to protect
and increase the environment conditions. An organisation focused on empowering, safety,
trust, respect, passion, and care towards nature. The volunteers who are working in the
organization area come from the varied diversity and culture. This organization is also
contributing towards the overall health and well-being of volunteers and people that
participate in the program. Organisation is getting funding from the government and other
corporate body (Conservation Volunteers Australia, 2018a).
Purpose
The purpose of establishing this organization is to conserve the projects across the
country to protect the nature with the use of volunteers. The reason behind to establish this
organization is to believe in the health and safety environment. This organization will also
encourage and attract the volunteers to contribute in the projects that will safeguard or
improve our environment and legacy (Conservation Volunteers Australia, 2018b).
Objectives of the organization
 Conserve the resources by increasing the protection, care, renovation, and repair of
the environment.
 Organisation inspires and empowers the individuals to have the positive contribution
towards the conservation. This can use through the provision of practical nature-based
experiences and skill development.

 This organization aims to have the maximum efficiency and effectiveness in
partnership for the mutual benefits. These mutual benefits will be for government,
corporate, not for profit community and indigenous.
 An organization focused on reflecting and responding to the changes needs of the
environment.
 Achieve and preserve the special places with the high community and conservation
value.
 Another purpose to attain the sustainability in the business while having the effective
management. This will make the continuous growth and improvement in people,
finances, marketing, and communication (Conservation Volunteers Australia, 2018c).
Processes and practices
The fundamental process and practices performed by Conservation Volunteers
Australia are that they provide the services related to conserve the society by making the use
of the volunteers in that. This organization is working as an intermediary between the person
who wants to help the resources and society to nature. The organization simply providing
volunteers who wish to conserve nature (Hammerton, Dimmock, Hahn, Dalton, & Smith,
2012).
The practices performed by Conservation Volunteers Australia are as follows:
Wild Futures: Conserving Australia’s Threatened Species
They focus on a range of species and threatening the process across Australia and working
with the team of recovery and other experts. The organization will assemble the new
resources and creates a sustainable future for our unique plants and animals (Volunteering
policy, 2009).

Wild Places: Conserving Australia’s special species
The organization protects the wild animals, which will be an extinct species. This program
will conserve, restores, and manages the land including the land, which owned by the
Conservation Volunteers Australia (Nib Foundation, 2017).
Community Conservation: Caring for nature together
In this program, the organisation tries to build the conservation for the community and
increase the nature’s places, which are close to home, waterways, coast, urban places and
community spaces.
Living Heritage
In this program, the organization tries to identify the areas that should conserved for the
future to have the best and sustainable use. This living heritage program rejoices the
indigenous and non-indigenous heritage by assisting the communities who request to save,
reinforce, preserve, or conserve the various aspects and place of the tradition and places
(BHP, 2018).
Disaster Recovery: Developing the Resilient Communities
This program supports the communities from disaster they are facing due to the natural factor
or other factors. The organization always supports the communities with the fast response
teams of volunteers, providing the special assistance in the days and weeks. The organization
resolves fires, floods, earthquakes, cyclones, oils spills and marine mammal stranding issues.
Resources and funding
Conservation Volunteers Australia gets the funding from the government to regulate
its operation in the market in advance. The government has also stated that for every financial

institution will contribute towards the Conservation Volunteers Australia and the government
itself will grant these funds. The organization is getting over $1M, which means that
effectively conservation Volunteers Australia is paying approximately $12000 insurance per
year from these funds to protect the Government funds (Conservation Volunteers, 2009).
Many other organizations like BHP Billiton have contributed towards this
organization as a part of their CSR activities. An amount of $1.5 Million has announced by
the company towards the Conservation Volunteers Australia to conserve the nature. This will
do to get the revival of the wetlands over the next three years. This revival is the partnership
formed by BHP Billiton and Conservation Volunteers Australia in 2000 to address
degradation in the state of many of the Australia Wetlands. They have also given the
participation of more than 17000 volunteer days and have contributed to the revitalization of
100 of Australia’s most important wetland (BHP, 2018).
Conclusion
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that Conservation Volunteers
Australia are established for the purpose to conserve and protect the environment and give
them the revival to sustain for a longer period of time. This organization established to make
a positive difference to the conservation of nature upon which all life depends and is
interconnected. The objectives of the organization develop and implement the programs,
which have the measurable benefits for the conservation of nature. Some programs have been
discussed which are disaster recovery, living heritage, wild places and wild futures. These
programs give the review about the working of organization and their performance by
volunteers. CVA got their funding’s from the government and other organization like BHP
Billiton. Not only government has supported this organization financially but corporates too.
The corporates support organization by giving volunteers.
