Comparative Issues in Early Childhood
Early Childhood Education Care (ECEC) as the key indicator of OECD specifies the
standards for the training of staff members and improvements in the working conditions. In
United States, there are standards for the staff qualifications and other quality indicators for
improving the work condition of teachers and meeting the national quality goals in primary care
education in ECEC (OECD, 2019). However, in Australia teachers or staff members are trained
in such a manner that to provide them efficiency to work with pre-primary children and the
teachers are expected to select the specialization among the qualifications (OECD Starting
Strong III, 2012).
