Compare and contrast two poems: "War Photographer" by Carol Ann Duffy (Geddes,
708) and "Driving Through Minnesota During the Hanoi Bombings" by Robert Bly
(Geddes, 498–499).
Carol Ann Duffy highlights about the challenges which have been faced by the people
where the job requires the people to record all the problems and the horrific events without able
to directly help with subjects. The highlights are also about the affinity with the different
journalists while they make use of the different medium of photography to convey different
truths about the human condition. Duffy has been trying to provoke the readers about the
response when one is confronted with the photographs with regular newspaper supplements. This
viewing issue comes from perspectives of the photograph which helps in revealing about the
difficulties of occupation (Bly Robert, pg. 489-499). The poem helps in analyzing about the clear
subjects to straddle the world vastly with the increasing feels. The potential is based on
visualizing the horrors of war. The poem starts in a private setting and the man who is the
photographer has been to all the different trouble sports for capturing the different events. This
shows his unrest in the world and then showing the work in a familiar part which is also peaceful
by comparison to the places. It is seen that the photographer finds about the differences between
the places and remembers the people in the photos while he is taking their images. The analysis
of the War Photographer with planning about the suggestions where the photographer tries to
bring into the order about what he has recorded and interpreted. The poem helps in discussing
about the correlation between the war and death and how they are working on the development
of pictures which are seen to be “half formed ghost” of a man. He also thinks that everyone
needs to know about what is happening in war with the depiction of doubt and guilt. The readers
are aware of the fact that there are smaller selections for having impact on the readers. Hence,
