Three important components are corrections, prison and parole. Correction, Other
component is prison and last component is parole. These component together makes correctional
system work effectively.

Correction is based upon making rehabilitation process done in more effective manner.
Other component is prison within which prisoners are kept and treated till the time sentence
period is over. The last component is parole within which a person is released on conditional
basis.
Describe about the accountability for ensuring minimum standards that should be followed in
Victorian Correctional system
Department of Justice and Community Safety controls all kind of correctional work and all
the authorities assigned for it should follow minimum standards which is based upon goals and
objectives set by department. In any case these goals are not achieved then department of justice
and community safe has right to ask question upon it.(di Capaci and Scali, 2018).
Describe about typical day of management of adult custodial offenders
In this only the routine has been taking place within managing the offender. Under it
adult offenders should be managed in proper and effective manner.

 Bail: In order to get bail prisoner is required to apply within court and then application
required to be submitted.
 Fines: They are being assigned by the courts after understanding the issue within the
case.

 Community integration programs: The process of rehabilitation is followed in it which

Community-based corrections seek to place offenders in the community while they serve
their sentences. These types of programs frequently allow the offenders to engage in work or
even school during their prison term(Bora and Özerdem, 2017) .

Main function of the correctional system is to ensure that an offender's sentence is carried
out, whether it's time in jail or prison, probation, or community service.

The Parole Board is an independent body that carries out risk assessments on prisoners to
