The first church is the St. Therese of Caramel church that is selected as it isa local church and it is very much popular indeed1. It is not a very old church and it has cateredto the needs of the common people of the region. The church is located there as it would benefitthe people of the coastal Carmel valley region. The church was named after the St. WilliamFitzHerbert. He was the Archbishop of York in England. This is why the church was dedicated tothe honor of the St. Therese of Carmel as the pastor appointed for that church was FatherNicholas Dempsey in the year 1999 (sttheresecarmel.org). This church took its current name inthe year 2003 in the month of July. It is to say that the creator of this church was the Hyndmanand Hyndman Architects from Cardiff. They have also revealed the details of the design. Theobjectives of the design have been disclosed by the architects properly. They also wanted to focus on the longcenter aisle that could be used for the religious processions or the liturgies indeed. They wantedto provide the people who gathered at the church a round space in which they could conduct theirreligious offerings. They have also revealed that this entire building has been a frane of stell inlight gauge.2. 2COMPARISON IN ARCHITECTUREhad exceeded that height as well. This was under the type 5 building limitations. It is believedthat type 3 building was required This construction work had to be a non-combustibleconstruction work indeed. There were many soffits and features of architecture that were suitedfor the light weight nature of the steel studs that were put across the building. The super-structureof the entire building was made of solid steel. The choice had to be made over the wood framingof the entire building3. The structure of steel provided the building to have better and strongerconnections between the main architectural features of the building and the primary structureindeed. There is a flexible track that also gave the better option of using the steel studs indeed. Itis because the curved forms could be very much economically viable than using of the curveableproducts. The second church selected here is the San Diego de Alcala. This church was founded inthe year 1769. The architect of this building was the Father Jose Bernardo Sanchez. The churchis also located at San Diego in California.4 The church was built by the inspiration of the Spanishcolonial power who dominated that region previously. This church is believed to be the first ofthe twenty-one great California missionary churches. The entire building and its design, architecture provides a better look at the grandeur of this building. This church serves the localarea as a parish church that is very much active5. This church also serves as the cultural centerfor the entire region. This church very much represents the history, culture and tradition of theentire region. This church began its journey in the year 1769 as Father Junipero Serra had set upthis Mission San Diego. The water supply was not that much great as well.63sttheresecarmel.org. "Home."St Therese of Carmel Catholic Church. N.p., 2018. Web. 15 Feb. 20184www.missionsandiego.org.
