INTERPROFESSIONAL
COLLABORATION

INTRODUCTION
 Interprofessional collaboration is the approach in which
several healthcare employees from diverse professional
background work in team in which it includes patients,
communities, families etc.
 This supports the healthcare workers to provide quality
services to the patients and decrease the healthcare
expenditure.
 This provides the ability to the staff members in building
efficiency in the healthcare centers.
 Further, the discussion is made on describing the
competencies which I can use for MSN-prepared role so
that collaboration is increased. The evidence-based
practice through which team work increases is also
discussed.

COMPETENCIES OF INTERPROFESSIONAL COLLABORATION
 For the MNC-prepared role I could adopt “Values and ethics
for interprofessional collaboration” it is because it support in
providing information regarding the cultural diversity so that
philosophies and ethics of each team member in the decision
making will be respected.
 This can also support in maintaining the ethical dilemma in
different situations of interprofessional care.
 I should also have competencies of following basic “rules and
regulations for collaborating with the team members”. It is
because through this I can communicate with more members
in the teams.
 Through which this competency can support me in making
challenging decision in highly complex situations and can
increase the capability to manage interdependent
relationships.

 I can also use “interprofessional communication” it is
because of selecting the most appropriate
communication techniques so that efficient message is
transmitted in performing the role of providing MNE to
the team members (Hamric, Hanson, Tracy, & O'Grady,
2013).
 The “interprofessional teamwork and team based-care” is
also considered effective skills in gaining the knowledge
of adopting the effective procedure by which overall
team gets develop so that effective practice of team
work will be done.
 Further it can include other healthcare professionals
because of solving the patient centered problems
(Foronda, MacWilliams, & McArthur, 2016).
