About This Document

This project will carry out preventive maintenance of a low voltage switchgear system at predetermined intervals. We will check to reduce the probability of failure in the operation of systems. The basic characteristics of this project work are the protection of the switchgear that is interruption of short circuits as well overwork of the fault currents that will uphold the service of unaltered circuits. This report included - objectives developed for the project, responsibilities throughout the project and distinctive activities.

I had checked to reduce probability of failures into theoperation of systems. When there are occurrences of malfunctions of switchgear, then theinfluences are catastrophic. When the switchgear is damaged, then it is expensive to overcomewith the failure. I had discussed two types of preventive maintenance such as: periodic andconditional maintenance. For each of the product type, I had carried out the maintenancerecommendations by IS/IEC standards. The verification procedures intended to maintain of thelow voltage switchgear system in its operating conditions. I had performed conditionalmaintenance to reduce recommended periodic and maintenance operations. It is required foryearly power failure of the installation. The basic characteristics of this project work areprotection of the switchgear that is interruption of short circuit as well as overwork of the faultcurrents that will uphold the service of unaltered circuits.

CE 3.2.2 Objectives developed for the projectFollowing are the objectives of this project work:To carry out of overhauls on electrical plant, machinery and equipment as part ofpreventive maintenanceTo analyze machinery operations of low voltage switchgear systemTo undertaken of Quality Environment Health and Safety (QEHS) inspections on themachineriesCE 3.2.3 My area of workI had undertaken various machinery operations work such as preventive and break-downmaintenance of low voltage switchgear system. I had attended breakdown of electrical as well aselectronics on machinery, apparatus, plant, business utility services and structures necessary forproduction purposes. I had supported maintenance and operation of machinery such as airconditioning and ventilation systems, refrigeration systems, pneumatic systems, and powergenerators. While working into my plant maintenance engineering area, I had applied safety actsand policies to the workers so that all the personnel can work safely within the factory. I hadmainly worked for maintenance of the machinery operations of the plant equipments for propersuccess of this project work.
