Introduction
IT related projects have been getting performed in a very high rate. This ensures that the
projects require high amount of data transaction that are important for processing of the
execution of the project. This ensures that better commencement of the project is dependent on
the data that are gathered and analyzed. The factors that have been affecting the execution of the
project includes problems that are present in the planning stage. This issue in the planning stage
have been the main issue that affects the functional process of the project. Cost overruns are also
considered as a major issue in the completion of the project. This essay will be discussing
regarding the issues that affects the execution of the project. This essay will also discuss about
the factors that act important in the completion of the project.
Major Complex project risks
The major risks that are present in the execution of the complex project includes
stakeholders getting disengaged. Stakeholders are considered to be one of the major aspect that
helps in completion of the stakeholder. The internal stakeholders are the sole reason for the
processing of the business. The revenue that will be earned will be due to either efficient
functioning of the stakeholders (Rezvani et al, 2016).
Cost scheduling is also a major issue that is present in the processing of the business
management of the complex projects. In case the cost management is not performed properly, the
main issue that is present includes the fact that the management of the complex project will get
inefficient. In this if this risk arises excess cost might be required for the completion of the
project. Scope definition also have been a major issue that is present in few of the complex
projects. In case of the improper scope definition the main issue that is faced includes the

activities that are to be performed for the completion of the project and hence improper
management of the project will be performed. This is one of the major reason most of the
complex projects have been failing.
The requirement of the projects is not stated in a rational manner, this is the main reason
that the processing of the project gets affected and hence the execution of the project also gets
effected. Scope of the project also changes in a very fast rate. This is one of the major reason
complex project faces issues (Luo et al, 2016). This change in scopes of the project frequently
incurs the fact that the tike that will be taken for the completion of the project increases and
hence the cost that is required for the completion of the project also increases. This aspect also
marks the fact that the resource wastage also increases and hence this mighty lead to the
processing of the management of the complexity project. In case of the complex projects the
main issue that is present includes improper communication process. This communication
process inefficiency will lead to the contradiction and conflicts among the stakeholders. This
lack of communication will again lead to data transaction in between the internal stakeholders.
This improper data transaction will again lead to improper data transaction between the internal
and external stakeholders (Qureshi & Kang 2015). Hence with different internal stakeholders
providing different information to the clients or the other external stakeholders will lead to
increase in collision among the scheduling of the process and creation of conflicts are inevitable.
Resource shortfalls are also one of the major aspects that will lead to improper
management of the project and hence failing of the projects will be happening. Improper
scheduling of projects are also a major reason for the failure of the project. Due to the
implementation of improper schedule the main aspect that is taken into deliberation includes the
fact that the time that was initially stated by the project manager in the completion of the project

will not be successful (Yeh & Walter 2016). This improper completion of the project due to the
time management aspect has also been affecting the success of the project. In case the project
gets completed before the estimated deadline the project is considered to be a success but
generally what is seen is thigh the project gets completed after the estimated timeline that was
provided by the project manager. This is a major aspect that the processing of the execution of
the complex project gets affected (Correa 2016).
Major factor of complex projects’ success
The factors that affect the success of the project includes preparation and planning of the
project. with the help of the planning and preparation of the project the main benefit that is
received includes the fact that the activities and deliverables are wasted in a better manner, this
is the main reason that processing of the project will get better. Performing feasibility study will
be performed and hence the managing of the project will get better and hence the commencing of
the project will get successful (Taherdoost & Keshavarzsaleh 2018). Performing of the
organization structure can be a major factor that will be providing efficiency in the project. With
bettering of the organizati0n structure the bonding in between the employees will get better. This
bettering of bonds in between the employees includes the fact that better commencing of the
project will be performed as retention of the project will be high. Implementing of leadership
quality ion the processing of the business management process cans be performed. With the help
of incorporating a proper leader he can provide proper guidance of the leader. This will enhance
the efficiency of the project completion (Ramlee et al, 2016). Establishing a culture of teamwork
rather that individual brilliance will be benefitting the entire business organization for
completion of complex projects. Timeliness of the project completion is also one of the major
aspect that benefits the commencement of the project. With the help of the proper schedule the

main advantage that is received includes better commencing of the project. This is one of the
major factor that failing of deadlines can be avoided. This process will be helping in increasing
the success rate of the project. Communication in between the employees of the project is also a
factor that acts important in imbibing success to the complex project.
Steps to mitigate the major risks
The steps that are required for bettering of the complex project functioning process
includes providing proper education to the stakeholders regarding the new technologies that are
being used in the completion of the project. This training provisioning will not only help in
proper execution of the project but also in increasing the efficiency of the project stakeholders
(van Offenbeek & Vos 2016). This proper training providing will also help in bettering the career
curve of the stakeholders. Hence retaining of the internal stakeholders will be easier and hence
the completion of the complex projects will be easier as the stakeholders who had started the
project will be completing the same. Another step that is needed to be taken for successful
execution of the project includes proper defining of the scope of the project. With the help of the
scope of the project getting defined the main aspect that is present 8in the system includes the
fact that elicitation analysis has been performed as per the documentation process.
Conduction of the requirement analysis will be beneficial; in the processing of the
execution of the complex projects. This will ensure that the complex projects will get better with
the technical inspection of the requirements. Hence the management of the peer reviews and
hence proper analyzing of the project gets performed (Oakes 2016). This is the making reason
that the functional processing of proper documentation process is performed. Using of ranges for
performing of cost scheduling will also be benefitting the c0mpletion of the project. The main

reason of the processing of the project management includes the fact that commencing of the
plus minus qualifiers will be performed. This ensures the fact that even the cost that is incurred
in the project exceeds the estimated cost there will be a margin left. This presence of margin will
ensure that the functional process of the project execution as per the required cost will get better.
Implementation of the coarse estimates can be performed. Using of the Wide Brand Delphi is
also considered as a technique in order to mitigate the cist schedule process (Nguyen, Mohamed
& Panuwatwanich 2018). Implementation of PERT chart in the sot scheduling also increases the
efficiency of the completion process of the project. Featuring the priorities have also been
providing higher and better understanding of the scope of the project.
Proper education of the stakeholders regarding the change management process also
betters the execution process of the project. Performing of proper meetings in between the
commencing of the project. in case the internal stakeholders gets a meeting arranged in between
them and the employees and the managers the employees will be capable of stating the issue that
they are facing and this ensures that the processing of the project execution will be performed.
Creation of atmosphere that will be providing a better work culture to the employees will also
increase the efficiency of the project (Lee et al, 2017). This ensures that the bond in between the
employees will be present and hence retaining will get easier and hence completion of the project
will be having a higher success rate. the main reason of retaining employees is that the skills the
experienced employees provides is much higher than that of the employees who will be recruited
against the vacant spot that is present. This will again require time for providing training to the
new employees and despite gaining training it almost gets impossible to get the efficiency in the
functioning process that an experienced and skilled employee could have provided. Usage of
project planning tools for performing then project planning before the initiation of the project.

as per the schedule that have been estimated (Butt, Naaranoja & Savolainen 2016).
Performing as per the schedule ensures that the management of the project gets easier and
hence the time that is stated in the estimated section gets met as the project and deliverables are
performed as per the estimated time scope of each and every activity (Kiridena & Sense 2016).
In case the time schedule of each and every activity is met, it can be expected that the project
will get completed in time that was estimated. Proper allocation of the tasks to suitable
stakeholders are also important. In case the stakeholders are allotted with tasks that are irrelevant
with their skills it is obvious that the output that will be received will not be highly efficient
(Mott Lacroix & Megdal 2016). Hence it can be stated that with proper allocation of the task will
comprehend the preciseness and the success of the complex project. Retaining of the project
deliverables as per the commencement of the schedule is a main factor that will decide the
success of the project. In case the deliverables are not properly defined the main issue that will
be faced includes improper management of the execution process of the complex project
(Kermanshachi et al, 2016).

From the above discussion it can be stated that there are several issues that are present in
the execution process of the complex project are equally important. The steps that are incurred in
the processing of the project completion includes better management of the detected issues. This
essay will discuss about the techniques that are needed to be implemented for mitigating the
