Computer is an electronic programmable device which performs mathematical calculation, logical calculations and many other varieties of tasks.Oxford Advanced Dictionary (A.S. Hornby, 2014; 308)defines Computer as an electronic machine that can store, organize and find information, do calculations and control other machines. Computer has various features which includes speed, accuracy, storage, diligence, versatility, automatic, storage, etc. These features have made computer useful and helpful for humansin various sectors such as Banks, Hospitals, Educational Institutions, Departmental stores. The roles of computers in these sectors are described briefly below: 1.1Bank:- Banks are the financial institutions that facilitate both depositor and loan taker. They also provides facilities globally for this they need to keep the records of various things, managing the financial sectors, calculation, information storing and many more. So, Banks cannot run efficiently without the use of computers.Dr. H.L. Hart (2014)claims that computer in bank is like one of the important organ in human body. Computer helps to increase productivity, enhance customer service, data storage, calculation, automating the management of the customer accounts with less involvement of manpower. Some of the purposes in bank are given below: 1.1.1Administration: Computers in banks keep the record of different customers and also provide effective services by keeping the records of their Name, Address, Phone number, Date of birth and other records. They also can keep the records of the banks profit or loss, expenditure, income and many more to make a better planning for the future.
