Concepts of Aged Care.

Please use the following Case Study for your assignment: Mrs B, 76 year old, lives in a duplex with her 83 year old sister. Last year, the sister had a mild stroke leaving her with left-sided weakness. Mrs B manages the household and coordinates her sister’s care including home health aides, physical and occupational therapy and visits to the doctor. Mrs B describes herself as healthy. She also comments “Okay, I had cancer of the colon two years ago but I had surgery and chemotherapy but now I’m okay. I sometimes get constipation but that has nothing to do with cancer. She states she tires more easily these days and tries to rest in the afternoons. Still she maintains a full schedule of grocery shopping, visiting friends, cooking, cleaning and caring for her sister’s needs. She states she has no breathing problems and her appetite is excellent. She follows on to say she can’t eat as much as she used to for each meal but my sister and I have a snack in the afternoon and at bedtime.
