INTRODUCTIONSafety has no substitute. “Health and safety at workplace is important to the decorum ofwork.” Safety is the priority for every organization and individual. The norms to be followed byan organization are very much strict so as to maintain a sense of discipline. Safety should be thelaw at crest. Organizations do not compromise on safety standards, as it gives a brand image andno employer can compromise on humanity. Quality matters but safety is all that matters (Ryan,2010).like wise it has been explained in the present case in which a person name Roberts in hislate 70s was suffering form a very serious disease called Parkinson's and Dementia which hasleft him totally immovable and will be needing 24 hours care by which his wife Jean who is inher late 60s was a kind of socialising person but due to terrible condition of her husband she wasnot able to get along with her friends. This make ensure that there is very dead need of health andsafety measures.TASK 11.1There are different concepts which are related to the health and the social care. The mainpoints of the health, illness, disability and the behavioural issues of the users of health and socialcare services.Health– It relates to the efficiency of the person in performing the daily activities orassess the appropriate education for fulfilling the responsibilities of the health and socialcare (Munn-Giddings and Winter, 2013). It is a state of complete mental, social andphysical well being. It indicates the good feeling of a person and the absence of thedisease.For an example a person whose heart rate is normal with normal blood pressureand little bit of diabetes.Disability– It relates to the condition of the health and the physical impairment thatdenies the individual to live a normal life and get the appropriate education. It alsorefrains them from performing the daily activities. It is a complex phenomenon whichreflects the interaction between the features of a person body and society in which theperson live.For an example some people suffer from mental disability in which theirmind doesn't work properly and hence their mental capacity is not normal like others. Aperson suffering from split personality shall be entitled under mental disability.
Illness– It refers to the disabilities or disorders which makes the person abnormal forsometime. These type of people become highly dependant on others. It is a subjectivematter that may vary from person to person on the basis of personal perception andemotion (Aveyard, 2014). It is defined as the manner in which the persons monitor theirbodies, define and interpret their symptoms. To use the health care system and variousother sources for which the person haver to become good and live normal life.Forexample Any person who has been suffering from high fever or any kind of disease bywhich he shall not be able to work normallyBehavioural issues– This indicates the significant change in the behaviour of the people.It leads to the serious mental illness and depression in people. They also becomeaggressive.It occur because when minds of certain people are not fully developed andfertile. Sometimes it occur due to any serious head injury or mental shock which a personget by any kind of visualisation.This information is helpful to understand the specific needs this tells about the theirperception and their expectations from the social care workers.1.2The perceptions and belief of the illness and disability have changed overtime. Personswho are suffering from mental disorder they have a specific needs from therepresentativesof thesocial care (Thistlethwaite, 2011).So that people who have been suffering from any issuesrelated to health and safety shall get proper aid by which there shall be no more sufferance whichis why health and safety would prime motive of any organisation.There are many NGO or other organisation whose main motive behind establishment isto provide health and safety measure to people who are suffering from same.They help inimproving the effectiveness of the treatment and care given to the people with the specific needs.These persons always lived in the community and have to compete with the general populationwith the health care. This have been changed by the perception of the needs which are specified.So that Daniel can live their life like a normal person and can live a happy life (Ham, Dixon andBrooke, 2012).If any person is stigmatised by their community or society then they seendifferent from other person and by that they may be rejected. When they rejected they have afeeling that should be leave that is low in self esteem, worthless, angry, frustrated, isolated etc.Sometime it can be a challenge that can come with the physical disability, lack of access to the
