Grapevine is a small Non-profit organization in Coventry, their mission is to help all

kinds of different local people that are experiencing isolation, poverty and disadvantage to enable

them to build better life. They work with over They work alongside partnership accelerate

employment for people who are less disadvantage to look for work. They Helps build

founded by Clare Wightman CEO who works with Mel smith duty CEO. Clare has led

Grapevine for the last 5 years, it started as a charity of a single client to a well-established that’s

focus on the purpose, vision and new strategic plan to support different individuals. Her previous

Vision/mission

The vision of grapevine is to help people who endure isolation, poverty and the most

disadvantage to rebuild a better life, their aim to get to the root of the real cause of the an

overseas relief effort and domestic, helped the United States military during American and

Spanish war. Earlier to the 1st world war, the organization came up with its water safety, first

aid, and public nursing programs. After the outbreak of the real war, the Red Cross undergoes

phenomenal development. The membership increases from 17 to 20 million and 11million junior

members. The local chapter also increases from 107 to 3,864. The public donated US dollars 400

million funds plus material to help in maintaining the organization programs, plus those meant

for Civilian refugees, Allied forces and American.

After the war, the organization concentrated on service delivery to Veterans and nutrition

education, improved its programs in safety education, home care for those who are sick, accident

prevention, and safety training. The organization also provided relief to those who are affected

by depression, severe drought and disasters such as the Mississippi River floods.

government agencies, coordinating feeding and family reunification.

The organization is composed of 769 city based chapters. Each chapter is being chattered

by the Board of Governors. The chapters have directors whose duty is to determined services and

programs that are important in those areas. The total amount of US dollars 4.1 billion annual

budget is circulated to the individual chapters from the national level

The Red Cross is mainly funded by the donations and the cost recovery fees that are

attached to some services which they offer. The organization obtains government money only

when the government has contracted them to perform some duty. The Red Cross runs under the

charter of the Congress that has been in use as from 1905.In this charter, the organization

performance as an instrument of the government (

The president of the organization is elected by a total number of 50 members of Board of

Governors. The board members are volunteers. The US president is regarded as honorary

chairperson of board of Governors, select 8 members of the board. The remaining 42 members

are appointed at the annual national convention. The board appoints 12 of the total members, and

the remaining 30 are appointed by the delegates from different organization chapters who joined

the convention. The rest of the organization is composed of 40000 paid employees and 1.2

million volunteers (
