Introduction
The small and medium sized companies play a prominent role in the competitive and dynamic market.
There are many Small and medium-sized companies in South Africa that make efforts that how
they can improve the market conditions. The Abigroup construction company is one of the
leading companies in Australia. In recent, the company faces certain challenges due to high
competition in the market. Therefore, the company has strategic planning to become competitive
in the market for which it is required for the company to have more strategic planning practices.
Strategic planning is a process of organizational management activity that has been done to set
the priorities, to make operation smooth and to ensure that the employees and the other
stakeholders are working towards the common goals.
In this report, the strategic planning of small and medium-sized business of construction strategic
planning issues will be discussed. It will be analyzed and will relate to the construction-related
organization.
Strategic Planning Issues
The long term plans shall be made in a broad and flexible manner to achieve the desired goal of
the organization through strategic planning. The main strategies taking place in the strategic
planning is that what is the position of the business and where the business is going and where
the business should be or wanted to be there and what changes will come in the business
environment. The strategic planning will all depend on the future that what will be the future of
small and middle-sized business and in accordance with that what are the steps shall be taken
(Ansoff, Kipley, Lewis, Helm-Stevens, and Ansoff, 2019).
The issues that have risen are the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises
performance in the market of South Africa. The other issue that has been analyzed the strategic
planning of the small and medium-sized enterprises with the retailers (De Villiers, Rouse, and
Kerr, 2016). The other issues which have been analyzed are that how the strategic planning will
able to evaluate the relationship between the performance of the small and medium-sized
enterprises and the strategic planning in the province of Gauteng of South Africa. It has been
analyzed with relation to these issues that strategic planning has exhibited a positive relationship
with the small and medium-sized enterprises performance. The small and medium-sized
enterprises when being measured by performance, it has found that strategic planning has
exhibited the predictive relationship with the small and medium-sized enterprises (George,
Corbishley, Khayesi, Haas, and Tihanyi, 2016).
The issues that have been analyzed are the issues that come in the business of construction of the
Abigroup. The construction business is where the predictability of the future is very important
and how the construction business will perform should require being strategies. The Abigroup
