Introduction: Construction information is one of the most important and essential document in the construction work which is clearly stating the objective, scope of the project, cost involved in the project along with safety issues, health and hazard issues involved in the project and it is required by the client. In this project, the initial conceptual design is made for the office consisting of high specification office rooms and conference rooms. This office is located in an industrial park near the expressway linking international airport and major city in the U.K. Different types of construction information are explained and their uses in the construction process. The bill of quantity and schedule of work is made for the same project. The role computer aided design and BIM in the construction information are also discussed. The CAD designs are made for the building floor in AUTOCAD software and specific information are mentioned. LO1 Evaluate different types of construction information in the context of diverse project types. (a)Explain the use of construction information in the context of the given project. Construction information is set of information which client expects and is generated in the possessionoftheclientandcontainstheappropriateinformationanddetailsaboutthe constructionproject.Themajordetailscontainedintheconstructioninformationorpre construction information is the information about the construction, management of the project, planning of the project, safety hazards and health hazards. Construction hazards and design hazard is also included in the construction information along with the precautions and the measures to avoid them. Construction information plays a vital role in the process of construction and it has wide range of uses in the construction. Some of the primary and major uses of construction information in this project are: ï‚·Construction information helps in effectively managing the construction process as planning and making lists of resources required assist in making them available on time without any delay and hindrance in construction process. ï‚·It is used to avoid delay in construction project and prevent uneconomical operations or unavailability of the required requirement. ï‚·The construction information is used to identify the problems before and in the early stage of the construction which helps in arranging the alternative operators and suppliers before the requirement occurs. ï‚·Quality control records ï‚·Quality assurance records

There are various types of pre-construction information which is used to plan and clearly provide the definition of the project, harmful issues that can occur in the construction, analysis of the construction, scope and schedule of the project. Construction information can be categorized as follows: 1.Construction project information 2.Planning and management information 3.Safety information 4.Health and hazards information Construction Project information:Information regarding the construction project is included in this category. Basic details of the construction are mentioned in this type of information. The description of initial to final stage of the construction is included in construction project information. The dates and the entire schedule of the construction process are also mentioned. The contact information of every member of the person involved in the project of construction along with the arrangements of the project is included. Planning and management information:In planning and management information, details regarding the planning of the entire construction are done. How the management task of the construction will be implemented during the construction is planned and documented to avoid confusions and delays in the work. If any other alternatives required during the project, then it is also decided and mentioned. The security issues, site hoarding, emergency fire prevention, transportation, restriction on smoking, restrictions on parking, solutions to escape from site during the emergency conditions are also included. Safety Information:Issues concerned with the construction site and equipment that will be used are put into consideration in the safety information. The details of the existing structures if any, ground conditions, access, issues related to the nearby land or adjacent land and boundaries information are included. Risks are identified initially and preventive measures are set up and documented in the safety information of the construction information.

Health and hazard information:In this information, details that deals with the hazardous materials and things related to construction are included. The asbestos, contaminated land is the part of the health and hazard information. The issues relating to the storage and use of hazardous raw materials and if toxic material used in the construction are included are included in it. The safety measures and precautions are also suggested in this document. In this project majorly all the above mentioned construction information will be used in varying proportions. As this building will be used for an official purpose, so it will be used by lot of people of office and from outside the office, therefore safety information must be included along with the hazards and health information. The project information should also be included like scope of the project, cost of the project. Schedules of major phases of the project should be mentioned to make the entire process planned systematically. Agreements and legal contacts if any present and required must be included in this construction information. The project information is used for giving the basic and major details of the project while planning and management information is used to make the layout of the construction process. In planning phase all tasks relating to the entire construction is decided as well as the management tasks are planned, schedule of the every construction phase so that progress at each stage can be recorded. The basic difference between safety information and hazard information is that if any hazardous material is used in the construction is identified and precautions are developed while in safety information the issues relating to the safety of the equipment and constructional site are mentioned along with the risks in the project if identified.

BIM is used to showcase the building project in the digital form which will be utilized for taking decisions during the construction process. Various information are part of BIM which is helpful in the construction information like geometry of the building, details regarding the geographical information & lidar , specifications, features, visual appearance, acoustic and thermal characteristics. The three dimensional design of the building is also connected and linked with the schedules of the construction process. Budget of the construction project can also be calculated by linking it with the 3d model.. Also cost per head is calculated by using 3d models of the BIM.
Conclusion: The construction information for 5 floor framed building which will be used for the office is designed in CAD along with different type’s construction information and their uses. The bill of quantity and schedule of work is prepared and the role BIM & CAD in construction explained. The drawing is evaluated and corrections are suggested as per the requirement.
