System Requirements
The computer operating system like Windows: XP/2000, Windows Vista/7, Mac: OS
X 10.48 are some essential requirements of this type of hard drive computer. These operating
system assist in reading the hardware that is embedded in the drive. The features of a portable
hard drive are: easy sharing of large files from computer to another, large amount of data can
be stored, data can be copied from the hard drive for number of times. Hard drive are used to
store back up data which are required when there is dealing of lot of data.
To power up the portable hard drive USB 3.0/2.0, Fireware, Thunderbolt and E-Sata
port is suitable as the transfer rate of these USBs are high, which assist the hard drive to
speed up the transferring of data between the computer and itself as the ports. A single cable
need to be very powerful to transfer large amount of data hence, these cable are suitable for
portable hard drives.

Portable hard drives are produced by various organizations like Toshiba, Western
Digital, Samsung and Seagate, these companies are the manufacturers of electronic devices.
The portable devices that are produced are of different capacity for various
requirements such as 120GB (Gigabyte), 250GB, 700GB and even 1TB of
storage capacity.
Compact Disc (CD) is portable storage device used to store data in digital
form, the data can be audio, video and even other data, a compact disk can be
used record audio and video. An external or internal CD drive is required for
writing data into a new disk by using a laser beam ‘burning’ microscope. The burning method
is applied onto the surface of the CD after that, the computer reads the data from the disk.
According to the type of computer that are used such as desktop or laptop, the powering of
CD is done. For using a CD drive, Operating System is required, such as from Windows 95
upto the latest version of Windows and for the Mac users the necessary operating system
version is from OS 6 upto the latest version of Mac.
Features of the System
To transfer digital data between multiple computers, a portable hard drives offers a
better service. Portable hard drives can be used for storing any length of data and for
transferring of electronic data. In this case, the data that need to be stored in this innovative
technology is the construction documents.
