Introduction
Dynamic economic development and job creation opportunity are depending on
improved travel and tourism opportunity in the world. Travel and tourism contributed US$2.7
trillion and provide 119 million jobs worldwide. The GDP growth of the travel and tourism
sector is 4.6% and outbound travel industry improving as the market development process of
travel and tourism improves. There are some travel and tourism issues faced by the
companies and that mitigates the improving opportunities of the industry (Butler and
Ivanovic 2015). There are basically three main types of tourism like natural attraction,
cultural attraction and artificial attraction. The prime issues are safety and security of
travellers, high tax and fuel price increase, global standardization of hotel. The issues must be
resolved for the formulation of travel and tourism industry.
Global tourism issues
Tourism issues are creating a problem for the advancement of business. The
travellers, as well as the companies, are in the zone, where the business development has
stacked in an unimproved way. The problems are not only curtailing the improvement of the
business but also creating a genre where people are less-motivated and interested in travelling
(Hannam, Butler and Paris 2014). The issues will resolve by the effective strategic changes of
the organisation.
High tax and Fuel price increase issues
Tourism is high taxed industry and that is the reason most of the high tax collections
are accumulated from their end. The percentage of tax payment is depending on the airline
ticket, hotel rooms, locations, rental cars and so on (Jarvis 2015). The add-on taxes are
allocated by the government officials and the additional protection of the environment and

non-residential cases. The high tax rates impacts on the travelling cost as well and most of the
visitors changed their visiting plan accordingly.
Fuel price increase is another challenge for the industry. The fuel price limit increase
is also a concern for the travellers as they have to pay more money by that process. The
exploring nature of tourism is confronted through the situation (Giampiccoli, Lee and
Nauright 2015). In the case of ecotourism, the instructive and counterproductive approach of
the management is being disturbed and that creating a severe issue in travelling. The cost of
fuel is the step that initiated with the government and that cannot be avoided by the industry.
The major challenge in this situation is aligned with the travelling expenses and then pay that
tax also.
Safety and security
Safety and security is another aspect that infringes with travel and tourism. The level
of security travellers want are not delivered in the legitimate way that is the reason most of
the people are concerned about the situation or level of service the company delivers to
travellers (Butler and Ivanovic 2015). This is surely considered as the challenge for the global
travel and tourism industry. Leaders in the travelling section need to set all the arrangement
so that employees and travellers are safe and healthy throughout the travel experience
(Hannam, Butler and Paris 2014). The local police security, local government association,
security offices all these sections need to control the entire thing and that will be beneficial
for the travellers. Tourism scope in different places becomes staged for the travel and tourism
industry. The rapid development of security may increase travellers’ trust and more
travellers’ accumulation may happen. Security and safety have converted a multifaceted
multidimensional concept with an extensive variety of components going to it and the
significance exchange of travel agencies and their managing scenario is important in that case
(Mason 2015). The problem in security mainly consist of travelling to different places and

maintain their destination objectives also, in that case, agencies will take care of travellers.
International and national safety board from the government for the travellers is a unique
approach taken by them to ensure the proactivity of the companies to their travellers.
Travellers may fall sick in some adverse situations and physician must be there with the
travelling team to ensure healthy mannerism of travellers.
Global standardization issue and technologies enhancement
Global standardization of the hotel and their facilities are important in case of travel
and tourism. In most of the cases, the travelling options are not affordable for every people,
in such situation travelling plans are not formulated form travellers end. This is a major
situation that globalisation has made its impact on travellers. Standardization strategy is used
in US hotel chain operation and the process mainly emphasises on the dominant approach of
the meeting and maintain the band position of the company (Jovicic 2014). The strategic
options are based on the national and international market. The customization process help in
case of evaluating the matter in the right way and also encourage the initiative for the
formulation of travel and tourism opportunities. In the case of global initiation, standardize
process help the mannerism of business and in most of the cases, the situation is not suitable
for travellers. The brand issue is one of the trending problems in the hotel industry and
travellers have some specification and company wants to deliver the place as needed by them.
The technological advancement is also creating a problem in travelling. The missing
of human touch is the aspect that travellers are waiting for and that is the reason they want
such places, where they can find people more than technology. The advancement of
technology has made that easy for people and relinquish their demand but on the other hand,
the process segregates human touch, warmness and the style of welcome (Giampiccoli, Lee
and Nauright 2015). Travellers want such things and also want that collective globalised
process help the constructive outcome of the business. The global standard of hotel measured

through the entire process of business streaming and that is the reason most of the travellers
engaged with globalisation and standardization process.
Conclusion
Therefore it can be concluded that issues that are creating a problem for the travel and
tourism business need to be mitigated in a sustainable process. There are different issues in
tourism and that will reflect in the travellers' accumulation. These issues involve different
obstacles for travel and tourism but better recommendations can change the scenario and
provide improve travelling experience for travellers.
