Executive Summary
In this, report it is analyzed that as the leader there should be many qualities in the person so that
the effective working can be done in the organization. There are many qualities such as the
effective communication at the workplace, team working, coordination and cooperation among
the team members, etc. The important quality is that Positive thinking with the positive attitude,
which has explained in this report. In the report the clear explanation is also done about the Time
management in the workplace is very important as it helps me in doing the work on time.
Timework also keeps the work attitude positive. A leader should have the emotional intelligence
and the power to influence the others so that people can follow the leader. The person should be
proper management capabilities so that the success can be achieved in the organization.

Introduction
The main aim of this report is to analyse the information so that the overview of the
subjects can be done. As there were many academic qualifications, which the lecturer has
explained to us such as the advanced diploma in business management, advanced diploma in the
business marketing, grand diploma in business administration, masters of the business
administration, etc. In this report, different leadership qualities are explained which are very
important in working place and in the teamwork to achieve the goals and to attain success.

Optimistic
During the lectures and notes, I have learned that being optimistic is better as I get
confidence about the future that I can do this course very well. Optimistic involves different
types of thinking such as the positive and the negative thinking. In positive thinking, I have
learned a lot and earned a lot of confidence. Positive thinking helps in improving health and
releases stress. With positive thinking, only I have overcome many negative thoughts. Positive
thinking helps me in recognizing that I can do this and enhances my focus on the job properly.
Positive thinking helps in reducing the chances of accidents, which makes my job work more
attractive (Stander, et al., 2015).
I have learned that optimistic persist in despite struggles and they have positive self-
esteem. They have a sense of control over many circumstances. I have also analyzed that there
were many strategies through which positive thinking can be developed such as by practicing
gratitude, cultivating optimism, and avoiding overthinking. I can develop positive thinking by
expressing appreciation for life and avoiding the causes and consequences of the feelings,
problems and the character.
Work Ethic
Ethics are the rules and values, which focuses on the diligence and the hard work in the
working place. I have learned that ethics are very important in the workplace as it helps in
motivating me and prosperous the good future. Ethics also gives a good sense of responsibility.
In the lectures, Max Weber teaches books, which are the German sociologist, politician, and
economist. In that book, the Protestant Ethic has explained in which Weber believes that hard
work in the workplace is very essential as it leads to success (Burton and Peachey, 2014).
At the workplace, I have built many skills and I acquire many knowledge and skills to
strengthen competitiveness. Different people have a different opinion in the workplace so it was
difficult to make a preference. Therefore, in the group activity, everyone takes part in taking the
decisions. I have also learned that to work on time is not important but to earn respect in the
workplace is on the prior list.
Servant leadership
It is the kind of leadership in which the main goal is to serve the people by the leader. A
leader is a person who has different characteristics such as effective communication, directing
the people, influencing power, motivating employees and the most important is the positive
attitude.
As per the Greenleaf’s Model of Servant Leadership, a servant leader is the one who put
the needs, interest and the aspiration of the other people on the priority rather their own. Their

main motive is to serve the others (Schwarz, et al., 2016). Servant leaders have certain
characteristics such as the healing others, listening to others, empathy, awareness, building
community, foresight, etc.
Emotional Intelligence
This term is used in various competencies, as it is the capacity of the person to handle the
interpersonal relationship empathetically and judiciously. Ineffective leadership, emotional
intelligence is very essential as it also affects work performance. If the leader has strong
emotional intelligence than it leads to the success of the organization very well. I have also
learned that there are four clusters of emotional intelligence, which are the self-management,
self-awareness, social skills, social awareness, etc.
Therefore, I have realized that emotional intelligence is also very important as a leader as
it helps in making the professional and the personal relationship (Ramchunder and Martins,
2014). By emotional intelligence, I have analyzed my strengths and weakness, which are helpful
in performing the job. It also helps in developing the self-confidence as I have a lack of
confidence and the power to influence others so this leadership quality helps in developing the
self-confidence and self-satisfaction.
Resilience
This leadership quality is required in the good leader. Resilience is the quality, which
helps the leader to recover quickly from the difficulties. It is one of the qualities which the leader
should have about to cope with the difficulties and barriers in the job. I have learned that
everyone is going through some problems and the troubles but the real skill is to climb out the
hole and bounce back
I have learned that before making any decision it is important to make the focus on the
goal and on the loss, trust impulse, taking myself seriously, etc. After making the decision, I
decided not to make any expectations and accept the responsibility for taking the decisions. I
decided to remain flexible when the paths are changed instead of being the cling. I have learned
that as a good leader to take responsibility is better rather than blaming others. If I will take the
responsibility I will not blame other people (Fu, et al., 2015). I have learned to push my comfort
zone more and take responsibility.
Creativity
I have learned that creativity and innovation are very important as the leader as it makes
you different from others. Creativity means unique and useful ideas whereas the innovation
means to the creation of the new ideas and their implementation. In any organization creativity
and innovation is very important as it helps in achieving the success in the complex system. It is
important for the leader to think outside the box also.

I have learned that brainstorming and mind mapping is essential as it helps in maintaining
the relationship between the ideas and the information. It helps in solving the problem by using
project planning and presentation. It is the graphical way, which is used by me to represent the
ideas and the concepts. It helps in setting the one in the motion and helps in making the
concentration on the ideas (Lo, et al., 2015).
Critical thinking
I have also analyzed that critical thinking is also required as the good leader as it helps in
examining the beliefs, assumptions, and opinions against the facts. A critical thinker is a person
who listens to another person carefully. Therefore, I have the quality of the critical thinker, as I
am a good listener. The judgments have been passed after the facts are gathered and the feedback
is given for the improvement. I always reject the information, which is irrelevant. As I have the
quality of critical thinking, so I always look for new and better ways.
Critical thinking means the divergent thinking in which high level of thinking is involved.
I always analysis, evaluates, synthesis, assess the thinks and then make any decision (Liden, et
al., 2014). In the lectures I have also learned about the Blooms Taxonomy creates; the new origin
work, evaluate the decisions, analyses the connections among the ideas, apply the information,
understand the concepts, remember the facts. It is the hierarchy, which progresses from the
simple to complex.
Cognitive flexibility
It is the ability of the human to adopt the cognitive processes so that the unexpected
conditions and the faces can be adopted. It is the kind of mental ability in which the person
thinks about the multiple concepts at the same time. It is important to adopt the changes in life as
it helps in learning the new thins.
I have also evaluated the mindfulness, which emerges through paying the attention on the
purpose. By paying the attention, I do not judge the things. I believe in living the present so the
mindfulness helps in that also enjoy the present moment rather than worrying about the past. I
always let go of the judgments as it feels like the bliss (Weller, et al., 2014). I am also a very
open heart, which brings kindness, warmth, compassion, and friendliness in me. Therefore,
mindfulness is paying attention to the present moment rather than thinking about the past or the
future.
Teamwork
Teamwork is very important as it helps in building a strong relationship and the goal can
be achieved easily. Teamwork influences all the people to do the work together as it helps in
achieving the more. An effective team is one who has good communication skills and social

skills. Teamwork is effective as they work in the group and shared their goals and resolves the
conflicts of each other.
Every team member plays an essential role in the company. Therefore, I think that their
roles should be properly clarified to them so that at the last minute no pressure can be build up. If
the roles are properly allocated to them than it is also helpful in avoiding the boredom and
assisting in retention (Liden, et al., 2014). Team communication is very important with each
other to build a strong relationship between them. The communication in the team should be
proper and clear with honesty as it helps in resolving the conflicts of the resolution.
Leadership
The leader is the one who has effective leadership quality to inspire others and have some
confidence. If the leadership is effective in the company than desirables, outcomes can be
attained. A leader influences there people to achieve the common goal and to follow the line of
the action (Black, 2015). An effective leader is the one who has the characteristics of the leader
and adopts the challenges and changes. His management in the team should be proper and
effective to attain the goals.
There are the different roles played by the leader in the company such as he is the
technical problem solver, executor, negotiator, team player, builder, motivator and the strategic
planner. A leader will be effective when he has good followers. Followers can be of different
types such as the completely detached, silent and ignored, alienated from the system, etc.
Leadership skills can be improved by taking the feedback from the followers, colleagues and the
other line managers (Lo, et al., 2015).
Communication
Effective communication is very important for effective working. Communication is the
source of conveying the message to the other so it should be proper and clear so that the other
person can understand it in an effective manner. Communication is essential so that information
can be conveyed to each other. While doing the communication with the other employees the
information, ideas and explanation are conveyed to the other person.
Communication can be strong and poor depend open the person., I have the strong
communication skill as I have higher efficiency, high morale employee, and increases the
innovation. One of the biggest leadership challenges is to overcome cross-cultural
communication barriers. I have the skills to resolve the conflicts among the people and to make
the communication better between them (Dartey-Baah, 2015).
Example: Once we had incurred the loss in the company due to the high investment in some in
productive assets and for that the company has to make certain expenses and had taken the huge
difficulties to sort that. So at that case everyone was feeling very demoralized and had loses their

confidence as the company has incurred the loss. But as the team leader I have decided to come
up with the losses and I replaced the obsoleted and unproductive asset with the new updated
technology. Although that technology is incurred with the high price but by raising the equities I
have arranged the fund. After one year of this critical thinking the company starts earning the
profit and people in the team get motivated. Being the leader I have taken the good decision at
the right time and motivated other team members to stay positive in very situation.
Conclusion
From the above report, it is concluded that leadership qualities are very important in the
person as it helps in leading, directing and managing the things. A true leader is the one who has
a lot of qualities such as the positive attitude, work ethically in the organization, has the quality
of the emotional intelligence, creative, innovative, etc. he is the one who motivates other
employees to stay positive in every situation. He is the one who resolves all the conflict and has
a positive attitude.
