Tourism is mainly defining about the countries in which different activities for travelling
the person by undertaking the social, economic, business and the cultural aspects. Tourism
industry is connected with the total of generation revenues by providing various services and
products for taking leisure services. This helps in creating and developing more employment in
the economy as a whole by developing various infrastructures and results in staying the needs of
the travellers and tourists while visiting various countries. Tourism industry play very important
role in generating and boosting the growth and demand of the products and services offered for
generating employment. The tourism has evolved with changes in technology and various
communication practices. The contemporary tourism is an approach which results in measuring
the issues with the changing times. Tourism helps in satisfying the needs and wants by fulfilling
and providing various products and services. This essay provide details about describing in

The development of the contemporary tourism is mainly from the period after the world
war 2. The tourism industry is mainly developed due to various changes into the technological
development, with the introduction of new communication practices and the marketing
approaches. It is mainly describing about the changes which is undertaken in the tourism
industry with changing the world by various introduction of new practices (Alvarado-Sizzo,
2021). Tourism industry is the largest for generating the revenues in the economy. The technical
development of tourism results in improvements in the travelling and its providing experiences.
The contemporary development of tourism mainly includes the systems consisting of the
consumption and providing various production experiences (Amoiradis, Velissariou and
Stankova, 2021). The tourism approach mainly helps in generating the source of income which is
mainly consisting of the four factors as the transit unit, a destination region and the
environmental which is mainly surrounded around the tourism. Various factors which leads to
changes in the tourism as the changing into the socio-economic circumstances. This results in

providing more leisure time, the higher income and ever-increasing into the care ownerships.
Also, with the developments in the technology aid in contributing towards growing the
international travelling and tourism in the economy as a whole (Dewi, 2022). Further more, with
the product development and the innovation factors results in introducing and developing various
new resorts and introducing with growing demands with meeting travel and tourism destinations.
Also with the changing the needs of the consumers results in attaining more opportunities while
travelling from various destinations in the oversees locations (Figini and Patuelli, 2022).
Therefore these factors mainly helps in developing the tourism in the economy with the changing
economic and other factors as of the developed infrastructures, population, changes in technical
and other social reforms (Eyisi, Lee and Trees, 2021). Thus, it mainly aims in specifying about
developing the tourism sectors because of various changes in the economy and the growth
which encourages the travelling .
Describing the positive and negative economic impacts of tourism
The economic impacts of the tourism mainly described about the positive and negative
changes which results in impacting the economy due tourism activities. The whole tourism
mainly aid in representing the 5% of the GDP (Godovykh, Ridderstaat and Fyall, 2021). The
main important aspects of tourism as it helps in generating more revenues by providing various
products and services results in providing more employment opportunities and foreign exchange
earnings.
The positive impacts of tourism on economy are as follows:
 The tourism activities result in improving and boosting the revenues which results in
improving the growing the taxes (Higgins-Desbiolles and Bigby, 2022). As the revenues
generated by the taxes from the tourism activities helps in supporting the investment in
the infrastructures, improving the public places with providing wider facilities.
 Tourism also helps in ever-increasing personal incomes of various individuals by
charging for visiting public parks and visa fees.
 Also tourism helps in improving the employment opportunities with diversifying various
local products and with th rise in the tourism activities results in providing wide ranges of
business opportunities with creating new jobs for achieving overall economic growth.
Negative impact of tourism on economy are as follows:

 The declining of the traditional employment as the individuals are shifting from the
mining, farming towards working in the industries this impact negatively in the
economy(Jehan and et.al., 2022 ).
 Rise in the price of the local shops for purchasing various products due to charging high
from the tourist impacts the local population and community (Muresan and et.al., 2021).
 Further more the over dependency because of the external pressures results in closing the
business and charging high taxes from local people result in financial uncertainties for
providing services to tourist.
Describing positive and negative environmental impacts of tourism
The environmental impacts of tourism mainly results in causing extensive damage for
providing various leisure services to the tourists while visiting various countries (Polus, Carr and
Walters, 2022). This mainly includes in spoiling and impacting the natural resource while
constructing various tourist facilities, pollution occurred, damaging the environmental while
constructing various new infrastructures and developing the new facilities.
Positive impacts of tourism on environment as:
Tourism industry mainly aid in encouraging and taking various actions for protecting and
conserving the natural environmental as for attracting large number of travellers for visiting the
country.
 Tourism development aid in encouraging the activities which results in protecting the
endangered species.
 With the development of tourism helps in providing various new opportunities for
preventing the illegal trading and exploitations.
 With the rise of sustainable tourism helps in preserving the natural resources and limits
the undesirable impacts of tourism on the environment and on the society.
Negative impacts of tourism on environment:
 Development in tourism and its activities hinders and depletes the natural resources
including water resources (leads to shortages and limiting the water supplies, generation
of water waste), local resources (results in creating pressure which impact the supply of
raw materials) and degradation of land (impacting minerals, soil and landscapes).

 Tourism activities and the ever-increasing in the tourism sector results in rise in pollution
level as the air, water, noise, solid waste and littering, sewage and the aesthetic pollution
(Prasad and Kumar, 2022).
 With the development of tourism impacts in deforestations also the physical impacts
leads towards degrading the ecosystems.
Discussing positive and negative impacts socio-cultural impacts of tourism
Socio cultural impacts mainly aim in defining about the changes which result from th
tourism activities on th quality of life of the individuals living in the country and the cultural
affects mainly including the changing into norms, traditions, values (Stojčić, Mikulić and Vizek,
2022). These are mainly associated with the relations between the diverse cultures, attitudes and
its standards of living from tourism.
Positive impacts on socio cultural are as follows:
 With the increase of the tourism in the economy helps in improving the infrastructures
with results in providing various new facilities.
 Tourism development and its activities results in preserving the heritage and local culture
(Zeng and et.al., 2021). With taking various activities helps in protecting the local
heritage by taking the sustainable management results in persevering the natural
resources.
 Rise in the tourism helps in strengthening the community with diversifying the job
opportunities helps in boosting the local community with rise in income.
 With the rise in the tourism for visiting the countries helps in positive impacting with
providing various social services to local individuals this results in providing and
improving the quality of life of the local community and individuals (Woosnam and
Ribeiro, 2022).
Negative impacts on socio cultural are as follows:
 The rise of tourism results in negatively impacting on socio cultural with increase in
crime rates, gambling activities due to urbanization in areas for achieving growth (Tejed
and et.al., 2022).
 The decision-making capacity is impacted by the tourism as shifting of decision-making
power relating to development, marketing and promotion of the destination at the local
level.

 Further more, Due to inflated prices resulting in inducing high prices for owning
property and lands.
 As Due to seasonality impacts on the quality for offering jobs to various individuals.
CONCLUSION
Tourism is an industry which mainly aid in generating employment opportunities and
helps in boosting revenues in the economy by offering various services. Various economic
impacts of the tourism is mainly on improvising the tax revenues in future also helps in
generating personal income and providing increased standards of living with generating various
employment opportunities. More over, In future the tourism mainly impacts negatively as due to
declining in the export's revenue from the tourism in the recent years result in reducing the global
GDP in the future. The rise in tourism impacts positively and negatively on the economy,
environment and the social cultural aspects. Further more, the environmental impacts of tourism
results in soil erosion, increase pollution, loss of natural habitat which results in destroying the
natural and environmental resources. More over reducing and adopting more sustainable
travelling by taking less use of flights which results in reducing carbon, adopting more walks,
choosing more eco friendly products for eating and while travelling also supporting local
business and adopting less use of plastics.
