Executive Summary

The report covers an analysis of 30 job advertisements posted by companies from
various industries, for titles, such as “Corporate Accountant”, “Management
Accountant”, “Financial accountant”, etc., with an objective to understand the
required personal skill set, for being eligible for taking a position as a Corporate
Accountant.
The task also involves a comparison of the skill sets required by the recruiter from a
corporate accountant with the skills that are covered as part of the module HI 5020
Corporate Accounting. The report also spells out the list of skills that are not
covered as part of the Module HI5020, but are desired by the employers, recruiting
a Corporate Accountant.
Introduction:

In order to perform the analysis around the requirements of skill sets and
qualifications, we have collected 30 job advertisements for various designations
such as, Corporate accountant, Corporate and Management Accountant, Senior
accountant, tax accountant, corporate financial accountant, etc.
We then analyzed each of these advertisements to understand the skill sets
required by the companies in terms of personal skills as well as the educational and
professional qualifications.
The expectations set out by the companies were then compared to the course
curriculum of HI5020 Corporate Accounting and a parallel is drawn between the
two, to understand, in case there are any major gaps.
Further, the roles and responsibilities for each of the job advertisement was
analyzed and a summary of the same is provided.
Number of Advertisements:
For this analysis, we have collected 30 job advertisements, advertisements have
been collected from various sources, such as Jora and Seek.
